I opened up my e-mail last night and there was a picture of it beside their house and my Dad standing in front of it. So I start screaming to my family to come and look what Mom and Dad have bought, I'm yelling 'OH NO THEY DI EN!!' you'd have thought from my excitement it was mine! They've wanted an RV for the longest time and had been trying to decide on what to get. The last word I'd heard was they were going to buy a truck/5th wheel combo so to see the huge class A in their driveway was a big surprise. They slept it in last night, they're so cute.

Anyway, it is on topic as they have reservations to go to FW next week (I was tickled about that because they stay in hotels at WDW, so it's nice to know they're going to our stomping grounds). They have res. for a partial hook-up site and now are scrambling for a preferred site in a doggy loop (movin on up, to the east side) but of course, it's spring break everything's booked. Hopefully something will become available as it gets closer to the magical 5 day before mark.

Just thought I'd share, I'm so excited for them. They've wanted to do this for so long!

What did they buy? I would buy a class A but I only want a Prevost made in Canada after all and teh cream of the crop as far as motorcoaches go. Even your president GW rides around in a Prevost. That is the only way I would camp.

Fleetwood Bounder.

Cool have they sent you pics of the layout? The only thing we have found with teh Fleetwoods etc is they aren't laid out for a larger family like ours with 4 kids and 2 adults the Prevost is the best way to go as you can go in and design your living space mind you that privelage also costs you a million bucks and up LOL. Congrats on their new purchase. This is a used Prevost I really like but even it doesn't fit our family.

That's so exciting, we have been trying to get my in-laws to buy one for a while now, it doesn't look like it going to happen. What a shame because they use to love to go camping etc...now all they want to do is sit at home. And what really bites is they could afford one no problem but are saving their money, for what :confused3 .

I hope you mean they have ressies for a full hook-up site and are trying to change to a preferred pet site.

A Fleetwood Bounder would not be allowed in a partial hook-up loop.

That's great news..you must be so excited for them!:thumbsup2

that is so cool... i am so jealous.. someday we will own a class a. i love going and looking at them at dealers. it is almost like going to open houses.:)

With the cost of some of them I agree LOL like the one I posted the link to at a used price of over 500K and a new price of 1.3 million LOL.

No, ressies are for partial----new bounder, old ressies.....

Congratulations to your parents, my In laws have had a bounder for 15 years now and love it, they got us hooked on camping, we have traveleled to FW in the camper with 4 adults and 4 kids, it made for intersting sleeping arrangement....

I hope they have a great time. Some of the best times we have camping are with other family members :goodvibes

tell them to call every day, several times a day for upgrading the ressies...DH and I wanted to take the 3yr old later on this month and I called four days in a row, several times a day. Wouldn't you know that the first time DH calls for me, he gets something! We only got one night, but keep calling to get another night for the weekend. Persistence pays off. Good luck to them and the new RV! We will be there the night of April 27th. If we don't get the ressies for that Friday night too, we will just stay outside and come in for the weekend.

Thanks everyone for sharing in the excitement, just wanted to let you know my Mom finally got the preferred site. One CM told her to call back today to have a better chance to get a canceled site but luckily got one yesterday.

John VN; they've had plans to stay at FW for a while now, the Class A was an unexpected surprise which caused the change of site.
