I was thinking of buying one of these and wanted some input...Do the kids really like it? Is it usefull? Is it worth it? :earsboy:

We purchased one last year, especially to help point things out like where the characters would be and other "fun" facts. We were dissappointed. It seemed as though it was very hard to hear and if all of us wanted to hear we had to replay it several times. The main reason we bought it was to tell us where and when characters would be out and we found employees were much easier to talk to and understand. It was a little bit too big to be carrying around and the last thing I want to do in the heat is hug a plush toy! We were really excited about it when we heard about it but got it and quickly returned it. Very disappointing.... :sad2:

I hear the new ones are alot louder. I guess they had enough complaints of him being to quite.

We bought one last fall, and I agree he was a bit hard to hear at times, but you can get him to repeat himself. Overall, I didn't think he was that informative, sometimes he thought we were at MK, when we weren't -- I guess you really have to make sure he is facing a certain way when you enter and exit parks, so that he knows your location. I, personally, don't regret buying him, in fact I plan on taking him on our next trip. My son likes him. He also tells VERY corny jokes that made us laugh when we were waiting in lines and had nothing better to do. If you are on a tight budget, I probably wouldn't spend the money, but if you have an extra $60 bucks then go for it. :flower:

Well I just bought the Anniversary one for $50 off ebay...so hopefully it will be worth it. Going in 14 days so I will post when I get home...Maybe I can trade him when we get back! :earsgirl:

I bought one of the old ones last week. Hopefully we will enjoy him, but if we won't I won't feel so bad since I only paid $ 38.00 for him! :rotfl2:

Bought 2 in 2003 and DD9 and DS7 loved them. They were old enough to be fairly responsible with them, but not too old... We would do it again.

Going back this fall with the entire family, so we just purchased 3 of the old ones for nieces and nephews. That's still not enough to go around, so we shall see if it was a good idea.

Since I hear they're not available to rent, perhaps there will be fewer of them ("Mom, Dad -- I want one of those!")?

I asked the same question and got lots of positive and negative remarks. We bought one the other day for 27.99 - found the number off the budget board - my kids like him now - we will find out how much they like him in the park next week - I figure either way it is a cute souvenier for that price :flower: Can't wait to try him off.
