My dh and I just watched "The Weather Man" with Nicolas Cage with my IN-LAWS!!!

OMG! I had no clue that this movie would be sooooo foul! I was so embarrassed.... :rotfl2: Mostly for my pretty conservative in-laws. It was hilarious.

For anyone who hasn't seen it- that writers of that movie must have went out of their way to see how many times they could say the F-word in one movie, not to mention the WORSE, yes, WORSE, more obscure obscenities out there!! Good grief! It was nothing I hadn't heard (or said...)- but not 100 times each in ONE HOUR!!! And let's not forget the "racy" scene ( ). I wanted to crawl under a rock. :lmao:

We finally all decided it was best just to shut it off.

It's funny- even though I'm an adult, and married, it still bugs me to have to watch a sex scene in a movie when I'm watching the movie with my parents or my in-laws. :crazy2: It's just too awkward.

So- there's my painful experience for the day! :rotfl2:

OMG, too funny. I haven't seen the movie, but maybe dh should rent it. :rotfl:

We ended up shutting it off too - and it was only my husband and I!

It was waaaay over the top. And slow too.

DH & I just finished watching CRASH. I thought this was the SADDEST movie I have seen in a long time....ugh....I guess when you are used to Disney movies...

VERY SAD!! I kept thinking, I am not going to watch anymore BUT I just wanted to know what happened to all the different characters in the end.

Now DH has put CAPOTE in(he is a genuis I heard) but I am on the DIS Boards.

Oh, me, too. Sex and parents...ewwww.

Does the racy scene include Nicholas Cage???? 'Cause I just might have to see that.

I have not seen it, but I can imagine the sceen. We stick to Disney titles with the in-laws.

Don't rent the 40 year old virgin to watch with them! :lmao:

Funny you should mention that....

We watched it and though it was hysterical! Then a couple of days later, I was talking to my MIL, and she asks if I have ever seen it, I tell her yeah- the other night. She says, "Well, Tom and I tried to watch it and we turned it off 20 minutes into it..."

NO KIDDING. I busted out laughing- I told her she should have asked us about it- I KNEW it was NOT their kind of movie!!! :lmao: :lmao:

No- nothing you can see anyway... He's dressed like Abraham Lincoln.. :rotfl2: Just see a girl and her "bosom." Bouncing. A LOT.

If Mark and I were watching this at home, we probably would have finished it just to find out how it ends, but it was just toooo painful sitting there with my in-laws.

To be fair, my in-laws can take curse words in stride, and stuff like that, but this movie defines OVER THE TOP- and this is coming from a self-proclaimed foul-mouth (although my inlaws would never know it- they think I'm sweet ;) ).

Dh and I thought this movie was okay- we've rented some pretty bad ones lately so we were fairly happy with it. I know what you mean about movies and parents-- last time mine visited they were excited to watch "their" show- Rescue Me. It is on FX and I don't know if that particular episode was just over the top or if all of them are but I ended up making up an excuse to get out of the room!

Oh you poor thing! I would have also crawled under a rock. Some of the movies are just going to far! :sad2:

I let my son who is a senior in high school do a paper on The Doors. I had to sign for him to do that movie b/c it's rated R. Since he works at a movie theater, he's seen plenty of R rated movies. He wanted a rock 'n roll movie. I wrongly assumed it was b/c of drugs, and, since we welcome any opportunity to talk about drugs with him, I wasn't worried. Neither DH nor I had ever seen the movie. We put the movie in on a Saturday night -- DS, his GF, DH and I. I almost died. How in the world did this movie get an R? DS got an A on the paper, but that required watching that movie multiple times . . .

I rented 40 Year Old Virgin and The Weather Man and I couldn't get passed the first 20 minutes in either of them. I didn't think that they were very good movies. :confused3
