I've been going to Disney for over 30 years now and the food just keeps getting worse and worse. And to top it off, my husband and I got food poisoning at 50's prime time!! We had one good meal at Via Napoli and I was shocked that Chef Mickey's was pretty good for breakfast this time (didn't have high expectations from previous visits). Tusker House was a big old rip off and Ohana was just OK. I could go on but...

I want to end on a positive note- the snacks are the best!! Churros, Dole Whip, Mickey Bar, School bread - all yum! Plus the healthier snack carts are great. Guess I will have to focus on that when it comes to disney dining!

What meal at 50s gave you food poisoning? That's awful, did you go to the hospital?

My husband and I both had the salmon salad. We were the only ones that got sick in our party of 7 so we figured it had to be that.

That's terrible you both were sick :(. Seafood at PT 50s is something I would never try.

Like you said - that's what we get for eating healthy!

I had the "light" platter at our Ohana breakfast so I could save some calories and splurge on cookies later. Well, I ended up with food poisoning. Let's say that it is no fun riding around MVMCP in a wheelchair- but I was NOT missing that party! ;)

What did you not like about Tusker House? We have not been there yet and are thinking of making an ADR for the next trip. Thanks

This was our second time and the first we really enjoyed it - especially the characters. You got a picture with Donald before you went in. This time - no Donald. The food was not bad but it just wasn't a good value. The character interaction was disappointing too. I went to the rest room and missed them all and Mickey never came to our table. Might just be a unique experience for us but we are not going back.

I hear you! My husband rode space mountain twice despite his distress!

I have to agree; when we started going with our kids around 15 years ago, the food then was soooo much better! But that was before the dining plan got to be so popular, which probably had a lot to do with it. Last week our dinner at Coral Reef was just "okay," as was our food at Yak & Yeti and Rainforest Cafe at AK. I was really expecting good food at Trail's End for dinner, but it was barely mediocre; their fried chicken was awful. The two exceptions to this were lunch at Chefs de France (excellent as always), and to our surprise - lunch at Akershus. Loved everything there! Counter services: Lunch at BoG and Flame Tree BBQ was fine, as was Yorkshire Fish & Chips. Toy Story Pizza and the Contempo Cafe food were subpar, and Pecos Bill was just ... blech!
