My Oasis of the Seas vs DCL review

Thank you for your review. We are looking at trying a cruise for the first time this coming summer. Total newbe here. RCI is about $2000 cheaper than DCL, so it looks like RCI for us. Looking forward to your review of Labadee as I know nothing of this area.

Thanks for taking the time to write your review and all the detail. So far we've only cruised on DCL and it would be a hard sell to get me switch to RCL. I've not seen the Oasis class ships in person yet but wasn't impressed seeing the outside of the Enchantment of the Seas while it was sitting next to us in Nassau. It makes me thing that RCL doesn't take care of their ships, I'm sure the Oasis class ships right now are in great shape since they're new but long term, I wonder. Disney is out there at port pressure washing and painting their ships, testing their lifeboats in the water, etc. I would think if the other cruise lines wanted to attract a person like me away from DCL they would make sure their ships look like they're in shape as we all see them at other ports.

If we ever do try RCL it would have to be an Oasis class boat as I haven't been impressed by the others I've seen.
