She is a teenager in high school and has a pretty good life - gets good grades, has a nice boyfriend, etc. But she is never happy and always gets mad over everything, like her mom reminding her to do her chores.

Is this just a teen thing or could it be something more serious?

when i was a sophomore in high school iwas like that...i was the same way, got good grades, had a great boyfriend at the time....but little things (like mom telling me to do something) would annoy me....it was just that i knew i had to get the chores done, or whatever else she was talking about....i didnt like constantly being reminded and hounded about little things

My own DD has a bullhead streak in her too. She's about to turn 15, and hates everything - unless her friends are around, then suddenly all is well in the world. I chalk it up to being a teenager. If I remember correctly, I was kind of a jerk at that age too.

:scared1: My son is only 12 and already has that attitude. That could mean either that he will grow out of it sooner or I'm in for a
long haul :( .

I have a niece like that, also...

It so saddens me because I know she was a victim of sexual abuse and that is the reason for most of her anger.

She prefers to lash out at everyone BUT her abuser, too.

It is so sad...

Oh yeah, I was like that. She'll eventually grow out of it. It's just being a teenager :)

You mean there is hope, they will actually out grow this :p

well im almost 20 and i grew out of it...
my brother is almost 18..he grew out of it...and trust me, if he did,,theres hope for anyone!!

I think its just a teen thing
hopefully she'll grow out of it

My friend has a plaque in her kitchen that says "Raising children is like being pecked to death by a duck."

I have a 21 yr old DD who has a pretty short fuse. I honestly don't know where she gets it. Our household was pretty laid back while she was growing up:confused:
