My nickname is causing me trouble!

My RR Visa for Southwest is in my nickname, Sandy. When trying to book my flight with points, I'm using my legal name, Sandra, since the name on the flight must match gov't issued ID. Now it says the name on my rewards doesn't match my flight. What do I do???

I would call the RR department at SWA and ask if they can correct your name on the RR account.

Read OP's post again. The issue is with Southwest's RR program, not the TSA.

I agree with Deb (and it obviously worked!). As a rule if you are having problems booking online, just call the customer support center. If they are having trouble (or giving you bad advice), then hang up and call back.

If a fee is required to use them, then ask the fee to be waived based on the website's inability to adjudicate the request.
