How did you figure out the accurate translation??? I'm trying to get something translated and with a few of the place I've looked, there is a slight difference so I'm really worried about having it done and being wrong.

Well, I (kinda sorta ever-so-slightly) know Greek. Makes it a smidge easier.

Would you post what you're trying to translate and into what? Or PM me? I bet someone here could help, though.

I'm sorry, I'm not judging you at all but IMO 17 is too young. I'm sure you had your reasons, as did I when I finally got one, but I know at 17 there's no way I knew what I wanted permanently on my body. But everyone is different and I understand that.

I remember, but mine was hard to see, I have the infamous tramp stamp, but I got mine before they were tramp stamps. LOL When I got mine they weren't nearly as popular there as they are now. LOL

I realize that, I'm asking if they need permission before 18.

In CA yes, for piercings or tattoos you need a parent with you. The rule in our house is NO piercings or tats before 18, and then for your 18th bday I will pay for 1 piercing of your choice, no matter what it is, with no questions asked. I do ask that they think long & hard about tats because they are permanent but I love mine so I have no problems with the girls having them.

I want to have something in Gaelic maybe, but I can't figure out what or where....I like the wrist tho, that's pretty cool......altho DBF's parents would totally freak out about it. LOL

I completely understand, a lot of people feel that 17 is too young. Mine is a memorial tat for my Dbrother who passed away when I was 16- we were very close. I've had it for over 10 years and it's still my favorite! Almost all of my cousins, as well as both of my other brothers, have gotten 1 in his memory. None of us regret ours because they are meaningful for us.

I chose patience because it means a lot to me! I am VERY impatient and am constantly reminding myself to have a little patience, especially with my kids lol!

Just poking around online, I don't see many variations. I only see one - however it appears the user typed it -left to right- and not -right to left- (as it should be).

I've got a Jewish g/f who has a g/f who reads/writes it - so I asked her to ask that girl.

That being said - I keep stumbling on this: סבלנות

Oh, like I said, I completely understand...my DDs are 9 & 7 (almost) and I dare 1 of them to ask me to take them to get a tat before 18 and it be something like a peace sign or a frog! I'd probably knock their head off lol! I see that a lot and I *think* that's where the regret comes in, at 16 or 17 tweety is your favorite cartoon character so you really really want a tat on your ankle, then you get it and at 30 it's, who's tweety?!?!? And then you're stuck with it and you work in a business setting and people comment on it all the time. Now, I do have my Mickey tat that I love even to this day but I was not a minor when I got him done.

I have found that and the following 2...so very frustrating! Thank you for poking around for me. I would be extremely grateful if you found out from someone Jewish, that would be so awesome! I know a lady that is Jewish but we haven't spoken in a few years so I can't just call her up to ask her out of nowhere, she is the type to get very offended if I did that.
