My New Scrap Room

I finally got around to taking pictures today. I'm so happy with this room, it came out just as I had pictured in my mind. I only wish I had a bit more space, as it is already pretty full. The room is only 9'x9.5', so I got a lot of stuff in it. The saving grace, is that besides my scrap stuff, and my Alice collection, I also have all my Disney Art/History books in the room. They take up 3 shelves. I want them in a different room, anyway, but I need more shelves/cabinets first. I had space in this room, so that is where they went. I also plan on adding a third floating shelf, above the tall cabinet. Also, most of the Jetmax drawers are empty, since I just got them on Black Friday. So some stuff that is currently in the closet, will end up in the drawers giving me more space in the closet.

My other regret is, in 2007 we went to Gibraltar and found a lovely linens store. They had these beautiful sheers with gold filigree stitching running through them. I couldn't decide what color to get, so I didn't get them at all. As soon as we got back to the boat, I knew I made a mistake. It's a bit hard to get back to Gibraltar, but I found the sheers used in the room for 75% off at JC Penny. They have flowers and a heart scroll border, which makes them perfect for an Alice themed room. But I'd rather have one of these...

I bought a new house! It's our first house, so I was very excited to have a space of my own. But it was a complete blank slate to start with. It's not like I had to move all the furniture out, and it's not like I was trying to repurpose existing furniture or anything. I had 2 Jetmax storage cubes, and the short white bookcase and everything else was new to me.

Oh my GOSH! It is gorgeous! I LOVE the Alice collection! I am so envious. I love all things Disney, but I have never had a specific character or movie that I concentrate on. Your room makes me wish I DID!

I have been wanting to sort of redecorate my kitchen and now I will be leaning towards an "Alice's tea party" idea (if I can find things that fit the idea). WOOHOO!! THanks for sharing the great pictures. Happy creating in your new space!.............P
