Pet peeves.....and people that have pet peeves

I don't even like the words "pet peeve." I don't know why, just find them annoying, like something a teenage girl from 1950 would say. I've never heard a man talk about his pet peeve. Someone needs to come up with a different word to describe being peeved.

I think we all have our annoyances and peeves, but when you read some of these threads it gets completely ridiculous! People just need to learn to relax and learn to function in society. Personally, I like to think that I'm being considerate and mindful of others around me, but to read all the things that bother people, it's flat out impossible!

I don't have a problem with pet peeves, but rather with people treating pet peeves as anything other than a problem within themselves. I don't like opera -- that's not opera's fault!

LOL, that reminds me on one of those Austin Powers movies where his dad says "there are two things I can't stand", 1)people intolerant of other peoples cultures and 2)the dutch.....doesn't one cancel out the other LOL
