My nephew needs prayers!***BEST NEWS ON PAGE 12***

Battling like this is no picnic. I will pray for him and for all of you, I know how hard it is to be a loved one in these situations. I will have my students praying as of 8 am tomorrow, that is a group 54 strong! What is his first name? We like to have a name to remember in our prayers.

 First I know exactly what you are going through. My DD Amy(2sweetangels) was DX with a brain tumor when she was 8 1/2. All her treatment was done at Childrens Memorial. It is fantastic and her Dr. was just wonderful.

It is scary but they are so helpful. Amy was just released from Children's about 2 years ago, she now goes to Northwestern.

You can pm me anytime,

My oldest son's best friend just finished his last round of chemo in November . He was diagnosed with brain cancer 1 1/2 years ago-the day before he was supposed to start his senior year in H.S. Here's a picture taken the day after their H.S. graduation last June:

I know having family and friends around made a huge difference during his treatment. I'll be thinking of your nephew and his family :grouphug:

I'm terrible with words, I can't imagine what you're all going through, I pray it will be benign and he can recover quickly...Lots of hugs to you all.

Hugs and prayers for you and your entire family. My sister was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was 2. It is so hard to deal with the illness of a child. Sometimes events like this can really test your faith but remember to stay strong and never forget the power of prayer.

It's so shocking when someone so young is diagnosed with cancer, and it's so scary for everyone. It sounds as though your nephew is in an excellent hospital though, and the fact that the doctor sounds so confident is good news! I agree with the poster who said that your nephew will be making that trip to Disney; it'll just be postponed for a while. Just try to remember the tremendous progress that's being made against cancer, and try to take care of yourself as well. I know that even though your family is large, you'll all be exhausted and stressed until your nephew is back home again! :grouphug:
