have a great trip!! You so deserve a fun-filled vacation
I don't deserving it, but we sure will appreciate it!
With a Disney shirt on in the morning and the girls arriving in the evening I'd say tomorrow is going to be a very good day!
Just a comment about that look on Brooklynn's face as she was boarding the plane. I know I have the same look too, just no where near as cute.
I think I capture just the right feeling. Poor little girl. I was probably making it worse by saying,
"One last goodbye, Brooklynn." Maybe it would be better if we left Disney World at different times!
I think I have decided on the gray Magic Kingdom shirt with the character letters. I think my kids would like that one the most. A Disney t-shirt and seeing my girls makes for one of the nicest Fridays of the entire school year!
Oh yeah, and it's the day before a Disney trip. That kinda helps, too.
Thanks for your kind thoughts and words Jill - if you dont mind I will "friend" you on facebook so i can keep up with your trips.
have a wonderful trip
that is good news
Thank you Poolrat - loving your trip reports by the way.
Memom - I love your sense of humour!! you make me laugh alot!! I also think you would be such a cool teacher with your Disney t shirt and other things in your class.
Thank you all so much for your prayers and care - it is much appreciated. Unfortunately the death toll has risen to 113 and still a couple of hundred missing - but its amazing how people all get together to help each other when the chips are down. The one that really made my cry was a 9mth old boy who was on the floor and the TV fell on him - I cant imagine their pain. There has been so much help from all over the world - your country has sent a big search and rescue contingent with specialist equipment and dogs. They arrived at 2am this morning and went straight to work - they are brilliant and we cant say enough about it. It makes you realise the world is not such a bad place most of the time.
Anyway enough bad stuff - we are alive and have Disney in our lives. I finally got to watch the documentary Walt: the man, myth etc last night. It was a lovely program.
Have a great trip all you who are travelling - hope the weather doesnt get in the way before you even get there
We just experienced Hurricane Katrina not long ago. We know the toll a disaster takes on a group of people emotionally, physically, and financially. The effects are long lasting. I am so sorry you have lose so many people and so much property, and you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

In the midst of my happiness about our trip, I woke up to sad FB news this morning. In our storms last night, an Amish family (in Hopkinsville, KY, I think) was swept away in their horse & buggy. It was a mother and six children, and they have not located four of the children. Keep them in your throughts and prayers. I cannot imagine losing one child, much less four.
I don't know any details - I just saw someone post about it. They have to be devastated beyond belief right now. I know they have full trust in God and His workings, but they are also human and are feeling human pains and fears.
It just reminds me that at all different times, we are going through life's highs and lows, and I like to be mindful of those who are unfortunately experiencing their lows. We will all have our turns at that, and I know we would appreciate the thoughts of others during our trials.
We made it to Friday! Should be a fun day at school, and as soon as I have all of my sub information lined up on the table, I will be out of there as quickly as possible this afternoon. It's not easy to make plans and line things up for three days. One day is not bad, but to leave work in order for three days, plus extras in case the sub needs to keep them busy, is not an easy task. It is hard to go into someone's room and know how it operates, so I try to have it ultra-organized to help the sub. My kids have been warned that I better not find their names on a 'bad note'

, but I already know the first four that will be listed.

Ihave a fairly good idea of the next two, too.
I'm leaving it all behind, though, and will try not to think of any school troubles. It's almost time to party, and I plan to enjoy the whole thing.
