My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

I think I will have to be sneaky for NYE and book now and tell my DH in december. He is soo not a disney fan and hates crowds so I will be pushing him :0)

You will have to come up with some good persuasive tactics. Maybe a meal at his favorite Disney restaurant? Crowds can be scary at that time; I'll give him that one. That's a trip we do more for atmosphere and not as much for rides. I hope he will come and meet all of our nice DIS guys.

That picture of Bella sleeping is just adorable! I love it when little ones sleep like that. Henry just grew out of his sleeping that way this past summer.

Those little figurines are very cute! I love the Eeyore!

I saw your updates about all this - my prayers are with them. How horrible.

NINE INCHES?! Whoa! But how nice to have a 3 day weekend, I hope it works out for you Jill!

I am so itchin' for an October AND December trip! I'll probably just book the rooms - just in case. Love the idea of a OKW Grand Villa Wigd! I hope you get it!!

Great safari pics MeMom - how cool that you saw the baby mandrill and the lions up----and roaring!! That is a rare sight. Did the safari driver stop for that? I bet he's never seen it either.

Jill is going to try to locate her safari pictures. Yeah, the driver did stop a couple of times, and he came to a slow crawl a few more. We were very happy. :thumbsup2

I hope Jill does get that day off Monday. :)

IF we get the Grand Villa let's just see how many we can crown in.....
then when we move out maybe you can get your POP rooms. We will probably go over to POR or something of that nature, we haven't even discussed it. Just depends on points and prices for us too. Honestly, we don't even have a head count for Christmas yet, with Keeley starting school and all.

I looked at the pictures of them after we talked. They are nice. We toured a grand villa when we looked at the DVC stuff, but I don't remember which one it was modeled after.

If I can have a faraway corner upstairs so that my snoring doesn't disturb anyone and where I can get up and about early without waking anyone, we might take you up on that for a couple of nights. Let's see how many open spots you end up with and go from there. I'd love to stay at OKW sometime, even if this doesn't work out. I like all the tropical resorts - Poly, OKW, Caribbean Beach, and of course, Beach Club. :)

I hope the lions are up and walking around when we go in 23 days.:banana::banana: Thanks for letting me have a little party on your thread. I would do it here at home but we are trying to keep it a secret from Lexi. So i just party on the inside.

Jill I hope you get your 9 inches so you can have your 3 day weekend.

I am really hopping I can squeeze in a NYE trip. We have no family here so it isn't like we would be missing out on family time.

I just wrote on your FB page. Have you decided about the reveal? I guess I just think it would be fun to see her excited around the house, and you could party with her, too, at least a couple of days before you leave. You've kept it a secret for a long time now.

You'll have to get everyone to fall in love with Disney World when you go so that they will want to go back in December. ::yes::

MeMom! I could use your advice! :goodvibes (Jill, you too!)

So, I've never done Disney World in the summer time... well, not in the middle of the summer. (We've done the week before Labor Day...) My sister will be dancing in Disney in July and they're heading down July 9th - July 13th. My mom wants to know if we want to tag along, but Josh wouldn't be able to take off of work... so, if we go, it'd be Jake, Mallory (about 4 months at the time) and myself, along with my mom & sister. Do you think we should give it a go? I'm DYINGGG to get back to Disney before our family trip in Sept/Oct. :confused3

You must have wanted a YES answer.
You knew where to come.

Money is the only thing that would ever stop me from going on a Disney trip. If you have the money or someone is offering to have you along, I say go for it. Mallory will be easier at 4 months than she will be in the fall, because she won't be as mobile. Jill used that carrier, and Bella just fell asleep whenever she was ready.

Just go in fully aware that you will need to have plenty of water/playground/running off steam time for Jake (as you already know) and plenty of rest time for all of you. That might mean some splitting up - one adult stays in with the kids for naps while the other two go play and then later another adult takes the kids on a kiddie ride while two of you go ride some thrill rides. Honestly, we have ever had any issues on our trips with things like that. We just all take turns doing different things so that everybody has plenty of fun.

How did you know I wanted to hear a big YES?! :rotfl:

Thanks so much for your input. I'm really leaning towards telling my mom that we'll go with them. I know Jake would have a blast... and I like the idea of being able to take it easy and spend time at the pool, enjoy time with my babies and just soak in the Disney atmosphere.

Plus, I think with it being a shorter trip of only 5 days, 4 nights that it won't be too much of an overload ya know?

All caught up again! Loved seeing your Christmas pictures. It's so nice you could all be together!

It's crazy they ya'll are have that much snow predicted! We have about 1-2 inches and I haven't heard of much more than that this week. I hope we don't get any...Mom and Bob fly out Monday and Ben flies home Monday.

I'm starting 2 Master's classes on Monday, so I will probably be on here even less than I am now, which isn't much lately! I'm not really looking forward to it, but I need the credits to renew my license, so it has to be done. I just keep thinking I'd rather be spend that money on a trip to WDW.

GO FOR IT!!! The kids will be about the same ages that my girls were on Bella's first trip. Bella just rode around in her front carrier and fell asleep when she got tired. I recommend two umbrella strollers so that if 2 adults want to go ride a big ride with Jake then everyone still has use of a stroller. Also, it is much easier to navigate an umbrella stroller than it is to drive a two seater or sit and stand stroller. Definitely do rope drops and plan afternoons full of napping and swimming!

No 2011 Christmas trip for me. Our break is not even two full weeks next year, so it is not in the cards. I doubt we do a WDW at Christmas until my kids are older and can tolerate the crazy crowds! Would be fun though!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Whooooo Hoooo, I am soooo excited!!! We will FINALLY be there at the same time!!! There are MANY Diser's going during that time-we will have to plan a MEGA meet. YAY

I just got a pin code and it is good for those dates. Looks like I will be booking soon!!:banana::banana::banana:[/QUOTE]

Yay more of us!!

Good Saturday morning!! I have not even looked at the weather in our area for Monday. Our weather station is notorious for getting things wrong. I know it is hard, but they told everyone in our area 100% chance of snow in Knoxville yesterday. Well, schools went crazy and cancelled. Guess what? Only rain. So, I will believe it when I see it Monday.
:banana:for booking for October! That is the week we are looking at right now. The last week of September is the UT Vols off week for football. We are looking at staying at the Beach Club Villas. It would be great to get together and let the kids play at SAB. I will let you know when I find out more.

If I am calculating right both our next trips overlap. How fun!!

Well, as you can see, Jill says go, too, so you got your YES. ;)
Just write down your priorities, know that you might not even get all those done, and enjoy yourself. :thumbsup2

I was watching the Weather Channel this morning, and it has us right on the line, as we so often are, with 2-4 inches possible between tonight and tomorrow.

I took two on-line classes last year to renew.
Good luck with yours.

Our break looks decent next Christmas.

Wigd said they're going to be seeing you guys in June, is that right?

Yay more of us!!

If I am calculating right both our next trips overlap. How fun!!

We have our four trips pretty much finalized now, and we hope to meet a lot of you this year. Some will be firsts, and several will be repeats. :) Our trips will be shorter than normal, though, except for the Christmas one. I'd like to make one trip to northern Florida to meet with Trent, too, maybe in May. We'd like to find a good halfway meeting place that we could do on just a regular weekend.

*********************************************

It is 13 degrees here this morning. Seven weeks from right now, I will be walking around taking pictures of palm trees. I will be much warmer. :cool2:

Stay warm and cozy on this Sunday before/of the winter storm, our southern friends!

Northern friends, I don't know how you take this for long stretches of time.

Amen to that MeMom!!! I lived in Alaska for over 3 years and somehow I survived, then we moved way WAY South and now when it is 40 outside I'm freezing let alone 13 :scared1: So I don't know how our northern friends do this for months!!!!

I am with you, MeMom! I don't know how I would ever survive up North. I am so glad that winter only lasts about three months around here.

I have a feeling I will have the Weather Channel on all day around here just to see how this southern snow storm unfolds.

I looked at those Pop prices for New Year's, and they are steep for a value. I will have to increase the amount of money I am putting in the Disney jar! ;)

All this NYE talk is sooo exciting! I love it! :yay: BUT I think what I like best of all is that people from all over are chatting about the possibility of trying to arrange time together. That makes me smile big time. So cool.:goodvibes

I am in Laura's camp, though... I bet WigD is going to cave... MK's 40th ?? Shocker gives her the green light??!! Um.... WHAT is wrong with this picture... Seriously, has someone checked her temperature??!!

Jill 9 inches of snow sounds great to me, but of course only if it falls in DC. :rotfl:

Lauren_Elizabeth -- I say if you have a mom in tow to help you with the babies, that YES, go for it, plain and simple! :thumbsup2 You had to know that is what EVERYONE on this thread was going to say to you!!!

JUST a few more weeks til' February!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

I have found my 40th birthday present to myself .....

Sorry Memom just close your eyes! :rotfl:

I'm sending hugs to warm up my cold southern friends...:grouphug:

I really can't complain because we have had a very mild winter so far.
I know it sounds crazy but us Northerners just somehow manage through months of snow, slush, ice, freezing cold temps and the dreaded heating bills.

All I can say is thank goodness for snowplows, salt trucks and winter tires!

We do get skiing, toboganing, ice skating, snowmobiling and snowmen.

But, I would gladly trade it for palm trees and swimming any day. :lmao:

Great to see that the NYE group is getting bigger by the days! :dance3:

I had a bit of sticker shock when I was looking at the December trip too.
I'm spoiled with staying during the value seasons.
I think we will be there from the 30th and staying on after NYE.
I can't wait to see all the Christmas stuff and meet all my DIS freinds.

I do say I'm very shocked that Wig'd will not be there for the 40th celebration.
You go girl! :thumbsup2
I give you props for sticking to your decision.
You are stronger than I.
I changed my original plans so I could be there.
We will miss you!

Memom how much are those little packs of figures?
I may have found a new obsession for Lexi. :)

I am checking in from the hospital this morning. My father was placed in the ICU last night. He is not doing well. He is diabetic and needs an amputation, but his heart is not well. Please pray for him and my family. We need the strength to handle whatever comes these next few days.
