My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

The Caramel Shop is heavenly. I think I gained 5 pounds from stopping in there 1 time. I think we bought out the store. I love caramel and this is the best that I have ever had.

We got a letter from the kids school today about a make-up day. We missed 5 days but had 4 days for bad weather built into the calender. They have decided to start school 5 minutes early until the end of the school year to make it up. How much instruction time do they think they are going to make up? I think it is silly but whatever works. As long as school doesn't go into June(128 more days until WDW) I will be ok with whatever they decide.

Marc and I stopped for the caramel corn twice, it was out of this world! We also brought home some caramel with pecans, again delicious!

The Epcot stroll was a welcome walk on a cold and cloudy day in Kansas! I think it must be 8 weeks for us before we go back.
We were just there, how can I miss it so much already?

I saw that you needed a house sitter. I would come and do it for some Disney money! Too bad we don't both live in DIStown. ;)

I wish we lived in DIStown! I would have a plethora of folks I could count on. Luckily a friend is going to do it. I thought she would be gone at the same time but I had my dates messed up so it looks like it might work out. It's a huge weight off my shoulders!

:lmao:

That was a funny muse....

Wasn't it?? I can laugh about it today but yesterday I was peeved that a 20 minute thing took up 4 hours of my Sunday afternoon. I did eventually get booked, btw, online. I still had a 30+ minute wait on the phone.

I am so jealous that the caramel shop was so empty when you were there! I had every intention of getting a treat there, but it was packed by the time we made it there that afternoon.

Thanks for the bananas. In a few more days, we can let another one 'peel out' of that line!

Oh yeah, I said it.
I totally did it on purpose, too, because of what Happydog said about being lame. She's got a long way to go to be lame in my eyes when it comes to Disney speak. ;)

I will refer you to my 'peel out' comment, as well as my 'ToT goes the weasel' and Jackie's report. You are definitely not lame. Where else can we say such silly things and still be thought of as somewhat sane?!?!? ;)

Yes, you know it too well!! That is exactly why I wrote it! I agree!!! I was chuckling along with your TOT Weasel remark, so funny, then of course I just had to follow suit!! The funny thing as you say is that we all "get" the references !!! You go ahead and peel those bananas!!! :thumbsup2

The trip is coming soon!!! :goodvibes

Oh the pecans sound good! MeMom, those photos looked delish, and everyone's descriptions, WOW! Where is this store? Did it replace something? Do tell!!?? I love caramel too. :goodvibes

And WigD, it is easy to miss something you really love. ;)

For some reason I thought that the caramel shop only sold apples, which I can't eat since I come from a family of bizarre allergies (my sister gets hives from coming in contact with water for too long, like if she takes a long shower or if she's in a pool for too long -- true story, I cannot make that kind of thing up!), but after seeing the pictures and comments about it having other yummy things, I am super excited to visit it on a future trip! I love caramel and everything there looks amazing.

I am glad you got a new computer MeMom and the best part is that you were able to make payments with no interest. I can't wait to step inside that caramel shop. Everything looks so yummy in there. I just have to add that today I can do my one week dance:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Thanks for taking me on a lovely stroll through World Showcase on a cold, dreary Chicago afternoon. I needed that little pick-me-up!

I also hope to try some treats from that Caramel shop (I'm not even going to try to spell it!).

They are predicting another 1-3 inches of snow for us tonight, so another World Showcase stroll might be necessary to take us away from the gloom.

I have heard that the caramel corn is really good, too.

I can't even imagine our district even entertaining the idea of an extra five minutes every day, and if they did, we would have to provide a separate pile of paperwork about how we were going to utilize that five minutes.

We won't have a lot of Epcot time, so we won't be able to spend too much time in that shop, which is probably a good thing.

I have read that about the caramel corn. If they have it with pecans, I'm a goner!

More snow and ice for us tonight, too. It has been a long, wet, cold winter.

Whatever it take to get a new trip booked. Now you can bask in the glory of your plans! :cool1:

Glad you found a housesitter. The fewer things on the 'to do' list, the better you feel.

1. I now need caramel. popcorn::
2. I need warm sunshine (desparately!)
3. Wow 6 girls...

You've got a good start on six girls. Are you going to make it to six?

I was glad to get the pictures of the store and not have to work around a lot of people to do it.

YUMMY!!!! Carmel!!!! Thanks for those pics!

You are so welcome. I will get some of us actually eating something from there next time. ;)

I have four trips planned for this year, and I am stressed because none of them are long enough to really go and enjoy it the right way. I'd say it is easy to miss something you love so much even when you are already going a lot. It's quite ridiculous! :upsidedow

It replaced Glas und Porzellan, or however you spell it.

I remember you saying that about apples some time ago. You are the first person I have ever heard of being allergic to those. We are big fruit eaters - apples, grapes, watermelon, bananas are some our favorites.

You can opt for a chocolate caramel-covered strawberry, maybe, or some caramel corn. It all sounds good to me!

I cannot wait to enter the doors of that caramel shop in person!!! I hope they are ready for me!

Should we warn them when we are there? Maybe we can leave your picture with them on a wall behind the counter. ;)

No interest is the way to go. Nothing to lose. :thumbsup2

We are all so excited for you!
Did you make plans to meet some DISers?

if it makes you feel better, i also have 1 brother.

and here's a bit of daughter math to consider before taking the plunge. :teacher: 3 is half of 6... only it's 1/5 the fun! :grouphug:

I would like Jill to have a boy next...

and then a few more girls. :goodvibes

Still walking.

Here's a sad, but sweet, little fella.

He looks like he could use a hug.

I think Jill was stopping to take a picture.
She does that sometimes.
About one time to every 37 of mine, I think.
Hers are usually all better.

A new restaurant. It seems to be getting good reviews, although most agree it is a bit pricey.

SSRStayOct2010513.jpg

It looks different taking a picture from this angle now.

Bella can now lead the way!

What a beautiful day!

Sometime I would like to hear one of the concerts - when it is someone I'm interested in. I would like to hear the Nelson boys, if they do any of their dad's old stuff. I'm not up on today's music people. I'd be thrilled to hear a gospel quartet, but I guess they're not really in high demand. The audience would be me, a few white-haired old ladies on walkers, and their husbands with black knee sock and sandals. We'd be rockin' to those gospel tunes, though!

Japan.

SSRStayOct2010518.jpg

I wanted to get plenty of pictures of Japan for my upcoming (now past) Culture Week.

I don't think you could go wrong choosing the gold kitty.

SSRStayOct2010531.jpg

I'm not sure, but I think this says GROSS!

SSRStayOct2010532.jpg

My students very much enjoyed saying hello and goodbye in Japanese during our Culture Week.

Before anyone makes comments about these socks, I'll just say that I like them and I have a few pairs of them.
In fact I've brought them back to some co-workers and they like them too!

I need some of these to go with my Teva's!

Fun Japan pictures!

It's so much fun to look at everything in that store.

I am loving these sunny World Showcase pictures! Please keep them coming!
