My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

I think Nashville and central TN got the snow. We just had a little snow shower that did not accumulate and lots of rain. I am happy though. I am sick of snow and slush. Yay for 1 month. I am six weeks away today!! I cannot wait to wear warm weather clothes and possibly get to have some pool time. I really like the pools at the GF so I am looking forward to utilizing them hopefully. I really love the pics of WS. I really need to slow down and enjoy it more. I seem to be hurrying through everytime I visit it.

A few quotes from a few pages back...

I got another article on Lilly the gorilla today. This one has a great video piece too. Enjoy!!!

Lilly video

Thanks for posting that Pat! Sooooooo sweet. I haven't seen her yet in person, but I'm going to make it a goal this time!

Update on Carter:

Prayers truly work. His parents had been told not to hold out hope for this procedure because he had multiple holes in his heart. I just talked to his mom and she said he is out of surgery and in recovery right now. He did amazing!! And the best news is the surgeons were able to fix all the holes and he now has perfect bloodflow! Thank you to everyone for your prayers.

:dance3: Such wonderful news! God is so good and faithful!!!

First of all - thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers for Carter. Jill said she told his mom that she had Disney friends all over the world thinking about him, and his mom was surprised that so many people cared about and were praying for her little guy through all of this.

Brooklynn said tonight that Carter had to go to the doctor because his heart was broken, and Jill was happy to tell her that the doctors have fixed him all up. :goodvibes

This is so incredibly sweet. What a good opportunity to teach the little ones about how God answers prayers too. :cutie:

Donald was playing Peek-a-Boo with a CM cleaning windows.

SSRStayOct2010404.jpg

This is SO CUTE! I love how in character Donald is even toying with the window washer. Window washing isn't the most wonderful job in the world, but I bet he was smiling that entire time!!

 So glad to hear a "secret" was found with Bella and the characters! What an excellent older sister Brooklynn is too!

Love this one. Little girl, big Epcot!
Sometime I would like to hear one of the concerts - when it is someone I'm interested in. I would like to hear the Nelson boys, if they do any of their dad's old stuff. I'm not up on today's music people. I'd be thrilled to hear a gospel quartet, but I guess they're not really in high demand. The audience would be me, a few white-haired old ladies on walkers, and their husbands with black knee sock and sandals. We'd be rockin' to those gospel tunes, though!

Oh you made me laugh out loud with the knee high socks/sandals comment!!! :rotfl2:

I would TOTALLY rock out with you and the gospel choir! I think the only time Disney has gospel choirs though is at Christmas on that stage in Epcot, and maybe during the Nights of Joy at DHS. House of Blues Gospel Brunch too...that has been on my list for years. :scratchin

Loved all your WS pics. The one of the dried fish or WHATEVER that was...I'm certain that does say "Gross!"

SSRStayOct2010525.jpg

Before anyone makes comments about these socks, I'll just say that I like them and I have a few pairs of them.
In fact I've brought them back to some co-workers and they like them too!

We need pics. ::yes::

No school.
We're on Snow Day #9 now.
We've never seen nine snow days before.
The snow is coming down pretty fast right now. It's supposed to stop being heavy by about 9:00 and taper off into flurries by noon.
It has been cold and gray (or white) and wet and yucky pretty much since before Christmas. I think people around here are going to go crazy when spring finally arrives! We're used to one or two minor snows around here, a couple of snow days, and plenty of winter days in the 20's, 30's, and 40's, but we're not used to what we've had this year.

I've already started a load of laundry. I'll do what I always do on snow days, now that I am becoming such an expert. I'll do a few house chores, a little schoolwork, and a lot of watching HGTV and DISing. :)

9 days! Wowsers! We had huge beautiful snowflakes yesterday, I took some pics that I hope to get posted. Today it's a blizzard. I had to drop Henry off for a playdate and I was soakin' wet by the time I got home!

Do you have to make up all those days at the end of the year?

1 month from today we leave for Disney!!

We are on a snow delay this morning - with no snow on the ground. The county schools called a 3 hour delay yesterday at 3:00pm. I was and am still super annoyed because Brooklynn was supposed to have her Kindergarten interview this morning at 9:00. I really wish they would have waited to see if the snow was going to actually come before they made a decision to delay.

ONE MONTH!!!!! :yay::yay::yay: I can't believe we are that close already. I have so much to do!

Sorry to hear about the hassle with the kindergarten interview. Will it be easy to reschedule? Though, I'm sure you have to arrange with work and all that too for the interview...ugh. I hope it all works out easily for you!

Happy snow day MeMom. We got snow also but the temps stayed high enough so that it only stuck to the trees and grass. It is all gone today! Yeah! I don't know about everyone else but one good snow a year is enough for me. I prefer warm air and sunshine.

I also wanted 4 kids but due to the cost of raising a family I stopped at 3. I also thought that I would have had more grandbabies by now. My son(my oldest) and DIL are in their upper 20's and haven't been blessed yet. Maybe soon. My oldest daughter is engaged and in no hurry for marriage or kids. So, I got my grandson from the baby of the family. She is divorced now and has no plans for another baby even if she ever remarries. Ty does need a cousin soon though! Maybe when you go on your next Disney trip you can toss a coin in for that to happen for my son and DIL. :lovestruc Maybe 2 quarters so we can get twins. Because I have a feeling they may stop at one also.:rolleyes1

I'll keep living Disney through your photos. For now thats all I can do!

Stay warm!

I am sitting on my bed with a Cinderella Castle blanket (thanks, Wigd!) over my shoulders and two blankets on my legs. I am incredibly cold-natured and always have been.

Any time our weathermen are saying 40-something these days, I have hope that we may be ready to break out of this winter slump. Unfortunately, I read that we are nowhere near finished with cold temperatures. :sad2:

I might have the same throw! Katie got me one for my birthday last year, only I ignored the "happy birthday" wrapping paper and opened it as soon as it came (several days before my birthday :rolleyes1) b/c I'm such a little kid and can't wait to open anything! We ended up mailing each others Christmas presents late, but before that she was threatening to send it all to Charles's for safekeeping :rotfl2:

We're definitely nowhere near finished with the cold temps, either. When my friend got back from Disney (she missed the snowstorm in which we got 18+ inches), we went to eat and catch up and she was amazed at the mounds in the plaza we went to. I'm pretty sure it's going to be at least April before they start melting. :sad2:

Wow I can't believe this is your ninth snow day! We got another 5 inches here today and 8 more coming tonight and I am sick of it! I can't wait for summer to get here. I'll take the sweltering heat over this any day (must be the Leo in me) ::yes::

MeMom - if you want, I'll be your grandchild!! I'm almost 29 but I can be the 4th grandkid!!

Since you are between Jill and Trent in age, you can be a grand kid, but not a grandkid. ;) Brooklynn might not like being dethroned as the oldest.

i come from a pretty huge family on my mom's side, so it was pretty much a given that my mom would have a bunch of kids. (she's one of seven - also 6 girls & 1 boy AND my grandfather was one of six and my grandmother one of nine! )

now my mommom (that's my grandma) & daddad (grandpa) will be 75 & 81 this year, respectively, with 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild!

so i think you still have some time to catch up!

if not, feel free to borrow - there's so many of us running around, the grown-ups would hardly notice a few missing!

I don't think I'll ever catch up wiith them, but I do hope I have more than two, The two I have are so incredible that I just want more like them. They bring such joy to my life.

I can't believe that you have had that many snow days! It has been so bitter cold here. When I brought the girls to school this morning it was 10 degrees and I have to say it feels like a heat wave!

Our temperatures are doing a bit better than they were last week. Those teens - I don't like them! It hurts my skin to walk outside when it is that cold. You guys stay warm and cozy!

Wow !! that is way cool..
Wish i had the time to do a TR..

It takes time and effort, but it is fun to relive the trips in this way.

:yay: for the new computer!! I am loving my HP. So much quicker!!

Love the stroll through WS. Cannot wait to stroll through the caramel store!!

I will have to check out those socks in Japan. I love my knee highs (especially with this cold weather right now).

We are expecting the snow later tonight into tomorrow morning. They are saying about only 4 inches right now. At first they were saying 10-12!!

Hope you are enjoying your snow day.

MeMom your scenario of listening to the gospel music had me:rotfl:!!!

You think we'd be a funny lot, huh? :rotfl:
You'd be right. :)

Mosy people around here have pretty much decided they have seen enough snow, and they are ready to get back to a normal Tennessee winter.

I like the fact that this computer is lighter weight. I also like that it doesn't turn off randomly. :goodvibes

Grand Floridian is so pretty. I hope the weather will be beautiful for all of us. I sure hope that there will be no freak snowstorm while we are there!

You did a whole lot of reading!!!

We have to make up our days. We're using some holidays and adding some to the end of the year.

I really want to do the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues some Sunday.

I wanted at least five. I stopped at three, because that's when my ex left. I went back to school and worked to take care of those three.

I think we can take a quick boat ride to Wilderness Lodge to throw some quarters in. I don't think Tanya has seen that resort, so maybe we can go out there and walk around for a few minutes.

It's hard to not open a present, especially when you think it's a Disney one!

I have seen those big mounds of snow. It's pretty crazy!

You are not alone. I am pretty sure most of the northeast is tired of the snow. We will get that break eventually. We'll be wishing for a snowball when we're out sweating working in the yard in July. If it stayed in the 70's all year, I'd be okay with that.

I've only made it to page 17 but wanted to say Hi!!

MeMom - I've been meaning to come over & check out this report but every time I clicked on your link it didn't work?? :confused3 And I was too lazy to figure out another way over. Finally figured it out today. :goodvibes

Hope to meet you on 3/1 at the IASW meet.

I have a few pair too :rolleyes1 They are so comfortable and yes they are perfect with Teva's :thumbsup2

That bag of fish was just that....gross! My brother had shrimp chips once.. Oh the smell  So much to look at.

Hope you are managing to "enjoy" the rest of your snow day. We have a long way to go here but you should be on the upswing any day now :goodvibes

Tracy

Bummer! That really stinks. Hopefully it doesn't hinder any Disney vacations. :goodvibes

I forgot to mention it previously, but congrats on the new computer! An HP is a standard pretty good choice in the PC world. I hope you are enjoying it!

We will be there on the 1st. I am hoping for a beautiful sunshiny day!
I'm not sure why that link isn't working. I copied and pasted. Maybe Jill can figure it out.

I'll settle for being a "grand" kid. I'm cool with that! :)

Well, in today's vernacular - K. :thumbsup2

This has been a long January, but maybe we will have a short February to make up for it. ::yes::

I didn't open that bag of ick to even smell it. I put it out for the display, and that was it. I can just imagine what it was like.

I just need the basics in a computer. Drew will use it for some picture stuff, I'm sure. I need to figure out how to use the webcam before we go on our trip.

The weather won't stop any of our trips. I knew better than to schedule anything at the end of the school year. Everything else is intact. They are leaving spring break as is, they say, but even if they don't, I don't have a trip planned, since we backed it up to February.

Today was not the biggest snowfall we have had, but it was the grayest, low cloud, coldest feeling day, even though it wasn't really the coldest. It was just a very wintery feeling whenever I looked out. Not a peek of sun all day.

Mmmm... the caramel shop is so yummy! I'll take a chocolate and caramel strawberry!

Yay on the new computer! Boo on the snow! It's time you got back to work.;)

The weather was just perfect that week. In all the pictures I notice the beautiful blue sky!

Oh, and I say you need to demand a new gold kitty- the one you bought isn't working!:upsidedow It is time you had some good things go your way.pixiedust:

Like Jillyb said, all we got was rain, almost all day.
I did see some son at the end of the day so I know it still exists.

I am ready for an early Spring. ::yes::

You on your 9th snow day and we are supposed to have a 61 degree day in Kansas on Friday!
Then snow again on Monday.....
I'll bet no snow day though!

So excited for your trip in One Month!:banana::banana:

Sorry to hear about the hassle with the kindergarten interview. Will it be easy to reschedule? Though, I'm sure you have to arrange with work and all that too for the interview...ugh. I hope it all works out easily for you!

They actually arranged for us to come today at 11:45. It was a little bit of a whirlwind since they didn't start school until 11:00 and they were serving lunch to everyone and the day was just totally not on schedule. It all went really well and we were told that she should have a spot in March when they open the registration to the public.

I thought of you and how you can't stand the cold weather when this occurred to me and figured you might appreciate it...yesterday, when it was in the mid-thirties, all I could think was, "this almost feels warm."

:rotfl: There was one day last week when it was 40 and I went outside in just my sweatshirt. Then three days later it was below zero. Crazy New England weather!!!! I'm waiting for them to cancel school tomorrow. It's supposed to be a mess here. 8-12 inches over night. We already got 3 during the day.

I love the snow, and I don't care how much we get, on one condition. No snow on February 23!!!!!! Which is 4 weeks from today :goodvibes My one month mark completely flew over my head. I tend to forget the date during the weekend :rotfl:

We went out to dinner for Kazin's birthday on Saturday. Josh has been teaching him names, and I heard him say Christine for the first time :lovestruc He also said Daisy(my dog's name). Actually he said "Daisy the Doggy" :rotfl:

That's great news!!! Yay Brooklynn!

If anyone is having problems with their signatures not showing up properly, go into EDIT signature and just save it , no editing necessary. That should restore it. I am not sure if anyone here is having problems but i was and that fixed it and several others that had the same problem.

Did they ever figure out what the problem was?

Did they ever figure out what the problem was?

I went over to the tech board but there was just 1 thread from someone who had trouble with theirs. I posted the fix and it worked for them too.

I am thinking they updates something and while it did not change the actual link name somehow it pulled the "a" out and replaced it with a *.

Why - have no clue. :confused3 Glenn said it caused issues for page one of his report but it did not mess with my links on page one. :confused3
