How fun being family of the day!! So cool!!
Simple little things like that add to the fun of a trip.
I am glad Jill made it to work safely.
I need to be designing my school website, but here I sit DISing. Maybe I will do recommendations for the honors program instead. I just can't get excited about doing my website.
How neat that you were chosen as the family of the day! Love that Kermit was reserving your table for you!
Dising is so much more fun than school stuff.
Kermit was a bit of a surprise, I must say. I would have expected him to be greeting the Family of the Day at a Hollywood Studios breakfast. I was thinking they should have those cute little safari dressed Disney friends for AK.
How neat about the Family of the Day. It's times like these that we continue to go back to Disney. Unless you are my kids and want to go to Universal! Those little stinkers. I still haven't made my mind up about going to Universal this trip. I keep reading the reports about how crowded the new Harry Potter land is and will continue to be. I think it might be best to wait another year, let it settle, and the boys will be ready for the big coasters. Ethan is almost tall enough to ride the big ones but not sure he will hit the 54 inch mark before we go.
As long as you get to have a trip somewhere, I'm sure you guys can work out something to make everyone happy.
What a nice breakfast. I have never heard of that before. I think I would have the same reaction to Tough to be a Bug as Janessa. I guess it doesn't bother Brookylnn or Bella?
I too think Tigers are beautiful. The tigers are my favorite animals to see at our zoo. It kind of makes me sad for them though because they have so little space. I don't know if it bothers the tigers or not.
Neither of the girls have ever been scared to the point of taking them out. Each of them at a certain stage (Bella this last time and Brooklynn a couple of years ago) have gotten concerned looks on their faces and maybe held onto Jill closely, but neither of them have cried to leave.
I believe Disney animals are as well cared for as any animals anywhere. I think they probably have the best life possible.
Cool pictures! Family of the Day looked neat, too.
Question for Jill when she gets a chance:
To make your own shirts, do you pay for the graphic designs or do dissers just let you use thier designs?
I've looked at the designs a few times, and they have so many cute ones. Jill has really spent a lot of time looking through them and has enjoyed making the shirts for the girls. We even talked about buying whatever it is you have to have to make them on your own. I think she would really enjoy experimenting with that a lot.
That's funny, I have an Aunt and Uncle that live just blocks from Piedmont. They have a BIG front yard with a pretty good hill, I bet you could ski on it They're in their late 80's though so I doubt they are

I would love to see it though!
Oops, I was wrong, it's not Piedmont Park it's Chastain Park. I can still picture people skiing there though!
As I came down to AL today, the fields were all still white. It was rather blinding as the sun shone on it. I needed sunglasses. I guess this will all be history by Sunday with the temperatures rising. 40 anything is going to feel warm!
How fun to be the Family of the Day for breakfast! You just have to love those Disney touches!
Yep!

Buttons, cards, things like this - all of that adds to the magic.
YAY for Family of the DAY! That's exciting!
I love It's Tough to be a Bug, but it can be pretty scary to little ones. My youngest DD left with her big brother the first time she saw it too. It's different watching the movie on T.V. and then seeing it in "real life".
I can see where it would be intimidating. Janessa had never been a part of anything like that, but our girls have just grown up seeing all kinds of characters, shows, loud noises, etc.
Drew has good taste. I love red velvet cake too. Yum!
How fun to get chosen for family of the day! Have you had that honor before, in any park? Disney sure knows how to add little magical touches.
I may be alone but I hate bats! They scare me. Ew.
We had not been the breakfast family of the day in any park. Wouldn't it be cool to be the bigtime
'Family of the Day' and open Magic Kingdom?
Not only did I not know that Pizzafari chose a family of the day, I had no idea they served breakfast! What a fun experience!
Justin feels the same way as Janessa when it comes to It's Tough to be a Bug, it totally creeps him out - and he's 14! We make him watch it anyway
You have new Disney knowledge. We're very educational here, you know.
I want to make a bug center at school. I have already started collecting a few things ad hope to have it ready for next year. I want to make a sign just like the ITTBAB entrance sign to go with it.
Yeah, I'm ridiculous.
How cool that you guys were family of the day at Pizzafari! When we got to our room at Pop last February, we were family of the day there. I love those Disney moments!
I think it's ITTBAB is one attraction I will never try. I'm very jumpy and afraid of bugs so I think I'd freak out. I also said I'd never try Stitch's Great Escape, but did to humor my dad and my sister. I only discovered that I will never do it again, because the combination of darkness, loud noises and being restrained really, really bothered me. I am totally okay with crazy rides, just please do not restrain me and put me in a dark place with loud noises!
Charles has some friends that live in the south, or out west, and they are also amazed at the prices here. When we go to Ohio, I'm always surprised at how cheap everything is! I have a friend that lives on Long Island and when she came to visit Boston, she was so excited to be buying stuff and only paying a 6.25% sales tax. It's always interesting to me how people in different parts of the country view such things.
The sad thing about Stitch is, it really could have been something good and fun. Maybe they will do something better with it someday.
I look at the people buying vacation homes for ten times what my real home costs. It is sure fun to watch. I love all those tropical homes they buy. That's the life!
