My neurologist called me to say I can TEMPORARILY stop giving myself injections of Avonex until my next appointment in July, because my MRI looked great!:Pinkbounc

Of course, anyone that knows MS well will tell you the MRI doesn't always mean alot. You can have a zillion lesions in your brain that won't show up anywhere, until the (gasp) autopsy! And I'm not planning to go that route anytime soon.;)

But not having to give myself a shot every week (that makes me sick as a dog) is such a relief. Like a little vacation to myself.:D

I'm so happy for you. I know that it is a huge relief!::yes:: :wave2:

That is great news for you!!! How wonderful that you don't need the shots for a while.

I have a cousin that is 34, and has been battling MS since she was 19. The types of medicine that she receives now is so much more advanced than when she was 19, it's really amazing. Whenever she gets an episode, as she calls it, it doesn't last as long anymore. It went from 3 times a year to once every 2 years. She is very happy about that.

If you are anything like my cousin, you are one tough cookie! ;)

hey :D , will just take the good news and leave it at that

That is just great, so happy to hear that. What good news!!!! You smiling???? :teeth:
