I must say that this is the best dining report I've ever read! And I'm not just saying that because I'm your mother! But honestly, you're doing a great job! That Cape May breakfast was the best! The food was so good and the characters all stopped by 2 or 3 times too!

You must be awfully proud. She seems like a great kid and student. Her food report is awesome. She is a tribute to you and her Dad. Kids are a reflection of their parents IMO!

WOW! Great reviews! I usually don't post in review threads because people are here to see the food and not read my rambling posts ... ... but I just had to! I really enjoyed your pics of the "Mardi Gras parade float" items at your resort - I don't think I have ever seen a pic of them!

I noticed you had your Lime Green Mickey Head on -- did anyone notice and say anything? I wear mine in a "badge holder" on my ever so fashionable fanny pack but no one ever said anything!

Anyway ... thanks for taking the time to review - I am totally enjoying them ... and now I am hungry!!!

Thank you for posting! The only pics I had seen of the resort was on All Ears and I tried to take pictures of the restaurants we went to so that people could see the inside and not just the food. The only person who said something to me about my LGMH was a CM who said he used to go on it many years ago. I was really upset that I didn't see anyone with one on No problem I love doing this dining report!

It was another hot day in Disney so I was in desperate need of something cool and refreshing!
Hmmm what would that be?
I stumbled across this sign so I decided to try what they had to offer

Dole Whip Floats baby!!

I chose the orange dole whip with the pineapple juice

I wasn't a big fan of it at first because I didn't really like the straight up pine apple juice but once the ice cream mixed with it, it was delicious!!!!

OOP: 3.99
DDP: 1 snack credit
Comments: It was very good and exactly what I needed on a hot day! I also wanted to add that I love how Disney decided to put little DDP photos next to what you can get with the dining plan. It definitely helped out a lot when deciding what snacks we wanted!


After walking around the Magic Kingdom we were hungry! I had wanted to try Columbia Harbour House since I read about it on the DIS. When we got in it was pretty busy! Luckily, from all of my dining review reading I knew to go upstairs where more tables would be available and they were!

My mom and I shared the Fried Fish Basket and for your side you can either choose french fries or apple slices, so of course we chose french fries! For our dessert we had the Apple Crisp.

It was soo good! The Apple Crisp was amazing and the order was big enough for all three of us to share!

My dad chose the New England Clam Chowder with a side of fries and an Apple Crisp.

My dad hated the New England Clam Chowder at first! He mixed it up though and it tasted somewhat better. Not liking your food always saves you room for more dessert and he did like the Apple Crisp!

OOP: $25
DDP: 2 counter service credits
Comments: I did enjoy the meal my only problem was a bird got stuck inside of the restaurant and kept flying around us



For our last snack of the day we decided to stop by the ice cream palor

I got the double scoop cookies and cream

and my dad got a root beer float

Comments: The ice cream was very good and I was surprised that a two scoop would be on the DDP so that made my day!

Great thread! Your layout is wonderful and the OOP prices makes the DP all the more attractive! My DD will be happy that the ice cream is on the snack menu and I assure you we won't be leaving with a snack balance as we have in the past!

I like pineapple, but doulbe pineapple is too much for me. I'm gonna have to try the orange pineapple now. yum only 7 days to go. I'm beyond excited now. I just found out my 2 almost 3 yr old nephew is going to get to join me. I will have 2 of my nephews with me, both 2 1/2 wow. Am I crazy? lol

Only a couple more months! My mom is already planning hers and my dad's trip and can't wait for more Disney food.

Thank you! I really think Disney needs to pay me for advertising! I love the DDP you don't have to worry about how much money per meal each day and overall we saved at least a hundred dollars! Haha yeah we didn't have a snack balance either! I don't know how people can have extras on their last day!

OOOOO 7 days woot woot! Haha not crazy! I am sure it might be a little hectic but it will be nice seeing Disney through their eyes. Since my family doesn't have any little ones during our character meals we watch the little ones and seeing them have fun improves our time

Haha I told you not to read on an empty stomach!!! I am a work out junkie so that helps a lot Plus I never eat this much at home! Only in Disney do I gorge myself on food!

Now this is one that I saw on the DIS and I think every one eats at this restaurant on their vacation

It took us forever to get a reservation at a decent time! Luckily a family on the DIS decided they didn't want to go to their ADR and gave us their reservation


This is the hallway leading up to the restaurant

The bar outside the restaurant ( of course my dad had to stop for some research )

A virgin Strawberry Pina Colada for me and a Lapu Lapu for my dad

Before we paid for the drinks we were called to be seated so my dad paid for them while we went in so I am not sure how much the cost was

The pineapple bread was already at our table when we got their and we had another run in with no butter

Our first course included the salad Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing

Now my parents loved the food here but to be honest I was a little disappointed It wasn't that the food was bad but I was just too full to really enjoy the meal

Next up were the dipping oils (I forget what kinds they were all I know is they were good!)

The Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings

These were good! I really enjoyed them and they were probably my favorite part of the meal!


And the pork dumplings

These were okay they didn't have much flavor compared to the other courses.
