The pediatrician, based on her knowledge and experience, doesn't feel comfortable with it. How can one assume she's not done research and that her decision is fueled by internet gossip?

I covered that in post #48, which drew your original reply. I'd rather not rehash the same stuff over and over. I find that it's rude to those people who are following the thread.

No, but those who give advise about the flu that is obviously based on easily disproven internet gossip are clearly neither informed nor knowledgeable.

This vaccine is too new for ANY side of the debate to make informed or knowledgeable decisions. The best any of us can do is to make our choices based on the our best guess.

Two of my docs have shared with me their choices. Both are excellent docs. One has chosen to get the vaccine, the other has not. They each have their reasons for making their own personal decision.

According to you, one doc must have based the decision on disproven internet gossip (wrong) while the other doc must have based the decision on proven data (again wrong, since there is no data on the long term effects of this vaccine as it is too new).

Again, we just don't know what the long term effects of the vaccine will be (hopefully none) and we just don't know if we will contract the flu (hopefully not). So.......all we can do is to make the best decision we can for ourselves.
