She passed away earlier in the week, but I haven't been on the internet since then because we traveled to the funeral and were busy with that and family.
It wasn't unexpected (she was 83 and very frail), but we were supposed to see her on the 27th for Christmas. I just bought her gift two days before she died.
We thought that we'd see her at least one more time. It's hard to lose a loved one anytime, but to lose a loved one at Christmas time is rough. We will miss her.
I'm trying to be supportive to dh (he's doing OK overall) and the kids, but I just want to curl up into a ball and cry sometimes. Give all of your loved ones a hug tonight. I'm going to treasure the time I have with the loved ones I'll be with during the holidays.

Sending lots of hugs to you and your DH~I understand your feelings, if your MIL was anything like mine~she would want you both to live life to its fullest and remember her this holiday season with fond thoughts
