Maybe some of the faaaaaaabulously smart Transpo-DIS'ers can work out a better rate than we've been able to come up with for our next trip. Yes, I know it's Spring Break, but that can't be helped.
Here are our particulars...
Can rental companies
We prefer National, just better experiences overall + DH is an Executuve Elite, but are willing to go with Alamo if the price is better. National no longer has a rental presence out of the Magic Kingdom Car Care Center
so can't take the courtesy "National" shuttle there from our WDW resort anymore. Btw, the Dolphin location & the other WDW-area locations ALL charge a NASTY "concession recovery fee"(Dolphin's is $21).
We are staying at Pop.
Dates...arrival at MCO about 7pm March 29, departure April 7th about 6pm
We don't mind Magical Express from MCO to Pop, but *really* want to have a car for most of our stay & for the trip from Pop back to MCO. We like to go off-site for some meals & do at least one grocery run. Having a car for less than our entire vacation is fine, we've picked up from the MKCCC before a day or two into ou stay.
The best price we have been able to come up with is about $270 inclusive for an Intermediate, pickup at the Dolphin/drop-off at MCO, March 31-April 7.
We're using a $30 off coupon & a contract ID we have access to. We have AAA, an Amex Card, National Emerald Elite, are Frequent Fliers on USAir & American & United. *So*, can anyone out there is DIS'Transpo-Land get a better rate on Alamo or National using codes/coupons/specials/etc? Should I maybe get an Entertainment Book for their National coupons & codes?
