My Magic + & Premiere Pass

We purchased ours in California but had the RFID added in Florida in May. We have not been able to link them to MDE. In fact, last month, we couldn't use them to get in at DL because the machine there wouldn't read our tickets (kept saying invalid media or something). The supervisor on the first day was able to do something to override the problem and gave us a one day ticket so we could get fast passes and told us we would need to get the one day ticket each day when we entered the park. This was at the monorail entrance to DL. The next day, we just went to the guest services window outside of the DL main entrance and the supervisor there explained that whatever they had done to our tickets to add the RFID capability at WDW was causing the problem at DL since the systems were different. She said it was a known problem and one they were working on. She did give us three day tickets (the amount of days we were still going to be there) so that we wouldn't have to start each day out at the Guest Services window. She also gave each of us a $20 food voucher for the inconvenience.

We're not a test resort for our trip next month so it's not really a big deal that we haven't been able to link them but I do understand people's frustration who are part of the test and can't get FP+. I hope things get cleared up soon for all of you who are in the queue waiting for IT to fix your pass.

We have premier passes that we're issued at Disneyland. I didn't scan the barcode, instead I typed in the number. The tickets were not accepted as media until 62 days before our reservation when things began to change. At 60 days I was then able to do my fast pass+ and magic bands.

Week 5...I spent an hour on the phone and was very nice to the CM. This time the excuse the reason why it is not working is because the Premiere Passes show as an affiliation under the profile. Suposedly this was put into the "Leaders" log to escalate the issue.

I must need a different special department - I have 17 digits on the back :rolleyes1 I'm even more special. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the issue is cleared up by tomorrow. My fault, I should've done it sooner - oh well!

:rotfl2: funny how yours has less digits :confused3

how many digits do you have on your AP? the MDE only has room for 12 digits. how were you able to add yours if there is more than 12 digits?

I know this will sound incredibly stupid, but bear with me.

You have registered them on the Disneyland site, right? Does that show up under the MDE when you look at tickets and passes?

(I'm just trying to remember what we did to see if it could help - I know that we've always had issues registering them for both sites, even before MDE. And I just checked with my Aunt, who purchased a new pass at the end of August...she explained how she linked her's, which is different than how I remember doing mine. And to muddy the water, the back of her pass is laid out differently than mine that expires in January. Yikes!)

Still waiting on Disney to re-issue my (and wife/kid) premiere pass. I asked for an update last week and they said they had to prioritize the sooner vacations, which I get. (ours is Nov 11) That being said, I am getting kinda antsy!

To answer an earlier post, the error we got was that the AP when we attempted to register displayed the old expiration date and would not fully register.

I finally got my DVC Annual Pass added to our DME - My niece was able to scan them. Talk about jumping through hoops....the only reason we wanted them done before we check in is because we wanted to coordinate our FastPassPlusses with my niece and her family (we'll all be together). It worked! I hope you all get yours entered - what a hassle!!!!

Just wanted to give everyone an update on our Premiere Passes.

My wife's Premiere Pass when entering it into the MDE Tickets & Passes came back with an error messsage "You have entered an invalid ID number. Please check your information and try again."

This issue is because the RFID number is not in the MDE database. When talking with a "Specialists" I was told the number did in fact did not exist in the database and they had no ability to manually add it. The Pass must be re-issued.

So for those having that issue I feel for you because you can't schedule your FastPass+ reservations. However, if other guest in your party can schedule FastPass+ when you arrive after after the pass has been re-issued they will give you the same FastPasses and time as the rest of your party.

We opted NOT to wait until we arrive in Orlando because I have read on these boards how many times and hours you all have waited to get these issues resolved so we drove up to Disneyland (2 hour drive each way) to have the pass re-issued.

We were able to link the new pass to my wife's MDE account once we arrived home and she added her FastPass+ to her account.

For those we received an error "Sorry, this card is already associated to an account. Please call (407) 939-4357 for assistance. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call."

This has been caused because MDE shows you have multiple accounts. Whether it is another account because you have DVC or you have duplicate accounts. The Help Desk needs to un-link or link the accounts for them to connect to your hotel reservation. The reason why I said un-link or link is because the bugs in the application it all depends if you have a DVC account or not.

These are my findings after waiting 7 weeks and 3 days and speaking with countless Cast Members on the situation.

One thing cool to add...the team that fixes the Ticketing issues...their name is the "Fix It Felix Team".

My advice, don't wait until you get to the Parks to have your issues resolved if at all possible.

And, feel free to take my information with a grain of salt. I know it's hard to trust information from people and on a discussion board.

Best of luck!

Hi Michael,

How did you get Disneyland to reissue it? I was there less than a month ago, and went to the Ticket booths to ask them to reissue my pass, after explaining the situation. The cast member looked at me like I was crazy and would not reissue it.

Please advise!

Thank you for your information!

Hello!

When I was on the phone with WDW I asked if I could do that. She replied, yes. I then called the Disneyland AP line and explained the situation. I was put on hold so she could speak with her Supervisor for the approval. Just be sure they put a note on your file and all will be good.

Thank you again,

I spoke to them on the phone today, and they advised me to go to guest services, where they said they would be able to assist me. Is that where you got yours reissued also?

No problem. Yes, that is where I was directed as well.

HUZZAH!

Got an email from Disney IT that they were talking to Disneyland ticket services on how to fix everything. About an hour later, I got an email telling me that the pass did not have to be re-issued as they were able to use the existing number!

I got home and poof, there are my passes linked into MyMagic+. Tried a few Fastpass + picks and will do the rest over the weekend. Now, I guess the next step is to wait for a Magic Band invite? Does anyone know if that does not happen, would we just be given RFID cards and still get to use the Fastpass +?

:cool1:

RMoneyTheHBomb: Great to hear! Just to be clear, the error you were having was not the "Invalid ID" error, correct? If I remember correctly, it was something to do with the expiration date?

I'm having the "Invalid" error, which makes me believe that a pass reissue is the only way to fix it, based on the information Michael has provided.

Cool, this is exciting. I might just have to make a trip out to Florida soon ;)

One last question, did they reissue you a RFID card, or was it the older style card?

Thank you for your help again.

Disneyland has the new RFID cards. :-)

I believe it was invalid id.

So we had a setback. Went to customize the bands and saw they linked my wifes pass to my profile and mine to hers. Hoping they will fix before we customize.

So if I understand this correctly, when I go to disneyland in a couple weeks and upgrade my AP to a premier it should have the RIFD. Is there way to make sure I get a card that does have RIFD or do all cards issued at DL now have it

All of the Premiere cards issued at DL are the new RFID cards, but the cards has a small MDE Mickey logo on it. And it has the a RFID number on the lower right which is different than the barcode number.
