Ok, I am not going to WDW until Aug., but the thing that gets me most excited is when I make my list of things to pack. I know it is wierd, but I am a list maker. I love to be organized and have everything I need. Two years ago when we went I had a great list and did not forget a single thing, but I did not save it, I wish I had. It was just an accumulation of helpful hints I had read here. So if anyone has ideas, please let me know. The best thing I took last trip was the shoe holder over the bathroom door. With a family of 5 we have a lot of bathroom supplies and it kept the counter clutter free. Also my personal favorite was taking a very small umbrella to the parks, not just for rain but for shade. It worked great.
I would love to hear your favorites!

If you have kids a great thing to have is tiny flashlights for dark rides and in my son's case earmuffs for the fireworks. MUST haves in our baggalini (ha ha)

Another GREAT idea I thought is the trash bags- one in each suit case to separate the dirty from clean clothes for the ride home. anything to avoid extra wash!!

hope this helps!!

A power strip...never would have thought of this one with the DisBoards. But there are remarkably few available plugs in the hotel room...bring a power strip and you'll both be able to charge batteries, cell phones, laptops, etc.

Oh and go to the Dollar Store and buy a cheap nightlight for your hotel room...those rooms get dark at night...nice for you but not so nice for the kiddos who probably have nightlights at home.

pop up hamper for dirty clothes - keeps room clean and easy transport to do laundry if needed

Wow - these tips are amazing!! Please keep'em coming.:worship: I have ponchos, mister fans and autograph books on my list.

I keep a "Stuff for Trip 08" spreadsheet doc open when ever I am browsing the dis. That way when I find something I want to take with us or remember, I just put it there. No more trying to keep up with that little scap of paper with the must get for vacation, it all stays in one place.

we bought a small 3 plug adapter so we can turn one plug into 3 (like a power strip), extra hangers from the dollar store (there are never enough hangers), a pack of clothespins to hang swimsuits and other stuff, a nightlight for the bathroom for DH so he can see in the darkness of the hotel room, Caribiner clips (hang from backpacks to attach hats to while on rides) plus they have ton's of other uses, we are also packing a sleeve of plastic cups for the room, a couple of extra trash bags, a roll of paper towels (with a 2 year old we will make a mess on occassion and I hate to leave a huge mess for mousekeeping) and a fan for room noise.

Good list! A fan? You must be driving, right? I was hoping the AC in the room would help with noise. I'm going to add plastic cups and paper towels to the list I'm going to order from garden grocer so it doesn't take up space in my luggage. I'm also ordering baby wipes b/c I know my kids are going to be eating a lot of sticky things in the park. I'm also bringing a purse size thing of hand sanitizer. About the clothespins, does every hotel room have a clothesline in the bathroom? I'm staying at the Poly. Thanks!
