My kitty Splash is deaf.

So sorry about your Splash kitty- I have a deaf cat too. His name is Deja and he is about 6 years old. He is a white/blue eyed mutt. He loves the vacuum, when you get it out he follows you around being really loud until you vacuum him with upholstery tool! My other cats run & hide when they hear the vacuum, so I guess being deaf has some advantages. Since he has been deaf since birth he is not too freaked out if you surprise him, he is very lovable. I feel your pain with the age of your cat, one of mine is 17 and in kidney failure. You have provided a loving home to your splash so try to remember that he has had a wonderful life.
