My kitty may be dying....

My sweet little baby (who will be 17 in a couple of weeks) may be dying. Max has been living with my in-laws in the states because he was too old to make the flight to Italy with us and my father-in-law just called and said they are on their way to the vet because Max has been so sick. He wanted to consult with us because he feels that they will have to put Max down this afternoon. My heart is breaking and it makes me sick that I can't be there with him. If he is that sick I know it will be for the best, but I have had him since he was 8 weeks old and he was born on the day DH and I got married so he is very special to us.

I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. My mom had to put down my childhood dog 1.5 years ago and I couldn't be there either. It broke my heart, but I knew it was for the best. {Hugs}

Oh I'm so sorry. I had to put down my 16 year old baby 3 weeks ago.

It's got to be hard not be there when he's sick. I'm sure he's with loving people however.

I am so sorry about Max. I had to put my baby to sleep 3 years ago when he was almost 21 and it just about killed me. I had had him since he was a kitten too. My heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry I know how hard it is. I lost my Max kitty (he was 17) almost 1 year ago, and my Lucy kitty is sick too. If it is time for your Max, he will go to the bridge and be pain-free and wait for you there.

I know how hard it is to put down a cat who's loved and trusted you their whole life. I know what it is to look into the eyes of the kitten you've loved for so long and cried until you felt you could cry no more, your heart shattering into a billion little pieces.
