My Journal to Me - Comments welcome!

I'm glad to see your eating is back under control. The exercise will come next! :wizard:

My normal cycle is 21 days, so I can totally relate to your TOM woes. I remember the natural family planning counselor telling me that I was probably not even fertile with that short of a cycle. 2 kids later... :rolleyes1

I have been a slacker when it comes to getting to journals. My apologies. By the time I get everyone into bed, I'm ready for bed myself and in the mornings when I make my own journal entries, I run out of time. I'm going to try and get to journals tonight.

I forgot to say that WI on monday was 169.0 and down to 168 today. :thumbsup2 So I am feeling pretty good about the whole eating & water thing and if I could figure out how to add a couple of hours (or 5 or 6 hours!) to my day, I could even get the exercise part going too. I know it will come, I just have to find the place/places to fit it in. Today I made a big schedule board and posted it by the garage door. It shows where we have to be and when each day. I am just terrified that I am going to forget to pick somebody up from someplace. :car:

Amy - Wow, 21 days - yuck! For the past 5-6 years TOM has always been pretty consistent at 26 days. In the past 3-4 months though it has been 25 days and now 24 days. It pretty much limits my activity for the first couple of days too.

Anna~ I know what you mean about needing 5 more hours in the day!!! I'd be killer organized and in great shape if that were the case!!!
Congrats on the loss!! A one pound loss is still a loss!!! Keep it up!!!

TOM sucks!!! I told dh I wanted everything taken out because I'm sick of it!!!
(no...I don't think it was the moods, or hormones speaking.... :confused3 )

take care!!
marie

Just catching up, congrats on the weight loss :)
I like the setting goals idea, & i'm sure you will do them!
Life sure sounds hectic at the moment, sounds like your getting organised though :)

That's great on your weigh-ins! You are doing awesome, even without the exercise. I think the September challenge looming over your head will make you a little more motivated. You'll get there!

You might want to check into endometrial ablation. I am SO happy I did it. I'll take 1 day of minimal spotting every 3 weeks over the he!! that I used to put up with any day!

Congrats on the weightloss!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Just imagine how much you'll lose when you get back to exercising! There will be no stopping you! Good job writing out where you need to be and when! I'd be lost without it! Keep up the great work! :sunny:

You too? Phew! I went thru that worry all the time too. I actually only forgot a child once but everyone seems to have a story. My favorite story happened when my friend was leaving church with her newborn baby and son. (Her dh was out of town.) As she exited the church my dh said to her - "where is your daughter?" She'd left her in the preschool Sunday School room and totally had forgoten about her. (It wasn't that funny at the time because she was so upset her eyes welled up with tears.) A few years after the incident we were all laughing about it!

Great job on the weightloss! :thumbsup2

Hi Anna~

We have a sign at work that you can put on the window of your car and it says, "Mom's Taxi". :teeth: I was thinking about what you said about putting the taxi meter in your car and had a good chuckle on Wednesday. :teeth:

That is great that you are down a pound! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

I hear ya about the TOM thing... TOM has always been tough for me, but the past couple of years have been especially difficult. I hope you're feeling better soon. :goodvibes

Have a great weekend! :sunny:

Too busy! Eating has been a bit haphazard as a result. I actually had made a lunch for myself in the morning on thursday, but didn't get a chance to eat it until 2. Then it was Parent Night at school. I knew I should have eaten something before we went 'cause I was starving. Instead I ate two mini macaroons at the meeting (didn't even give the grapes a second look :sad2: ). After the teacher meeting, DH and I went out to dinner - just the two of us  ! Didn't make healthy choices, but I did control my portions. Today was crazy, but a bit better. I am looking forward to having a reasonably calm weekend. Usually DH's family comes over for Labor Day, but he hasn't said anything this week about inviting them, and I'm not mentioning it. :duck:

marie: I have such good intentions of being organized, but somehow it never works out that way  . If I only I had more time ...

Tracey: When life gets hectic, making goals helps calm me down.

Amy: I am planning on my competitive nature kicking in with the Exercise Challenge. I need something to get me going again. My Dr and I have discussed the ablation option. I am seriously considering it. I'm glad to here that you think it was a good thing.

CJK: I sure hope the lbs fly off when I start exercising again. That would be great. :cheer2:

Jane: Definitely one of my "bad mommy" nightmares :rotfl2: . I did forget to put money on DD10's lunch card this morning. I remembered about 15 minutes before lunch and ran to school and gave her some lunch money as she left her class. It will be better once I have a routine. I'm not there yet though ...

Tracy: :lmao: :lmao: Love the sign!

Congrats on the loss :thumbsup2

I love your board telling where and when etc.!! I need one of those myself, because sometimes the schedule in my head isn't too dependable!! :rotfl:

Hope you have a good and relaxing weekend, and keep up the good work! :sunny:

Hi Anna,

That's great that you and your DH were able to have a date night. :goodvibes My DH and I had a lunch date last week and it was a nice break for the two of us. Hope you had a great time! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! :thumbsup2

Ah date night!! Glad you had a great time. Don't you wish you could do that more often?

Hope you're enjoying a calm Labour Day weekend!! :sunny:

Wow, I can't believe it is September already! Today was blissfully calm w/ just routine stuff to do. Got the :laundy: pretty much done and cleaned out my closet  . Good day food wise except for the wine & brownie. OMG - last night I went to this european market to pick up sausages for dinner. DD10 was with me and wanted to buy brownies for dessert. They were heavenly. :cloud9: Last night I ate 1/2 of one. Today I only had a 1/4. They are so rich. I have no idea how many calories, but it was worth every single one!

Food:
8:30a - 3 pancakes, 1/4c blueberries, blueberry syrup, 1 egg, 12oz skim milk
12:00p - 1c FF split pea soup, 1T hummus w. red pepper strips
4p - granola bar
6:30p - grilled tri tip, grilled onions, 1c green beans, 2c salad w/ tomato, feta & Cilantro dressing, 1/2 bottle red wine
8:30p - 1" square brownie, 8 oz sim milk
5 f/v

Water: 100 oz

Exercise: still none -- I must get on this!!

Anna

Kate: the schedule in my head is definitely not reliable :rotfl2: . So far the board is working well for me. I keep adding stuff to it: Chore list, allowance adjustments, upcoming dr appts, etc.

Tracy, CJK: Date night was really nice. Those opportunities are few and far between for us right now with the three kids and DH's job.

More routine stuff today. DH wants to go to the beach tomorrow (with 100k other people!). I am hoping to convince him that a nice pool day at home would be better. We'll see. I didn't eat snacks today which meant I was too hungry when I did eat - oops.

Food:
9:15a - 2 egg omelet w/ tomato, green onion, 1T cheese & 1T turkey, 1 sausage link, 12oz skim milk
2pm - 1.5 milano cookies, 8oz FF yogurt
6:45p - roast chicken breast, 1c baked beans, 1/4c corn, 1.5 slices bread, slice watermelon, Mai Tai, 8oz skim milk

Water: 81oz

Exercise: no ... took a nap instead. :sad2:

Anna

I hope you are getting a relaxing day by the pool today! We came back from camping on Sunday instead of Monday - we just didn't even want to deal with the traffic!

Yes, it is September. That means you need to start getting some exercise in for your challenge! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Hope you had a lovely weekend :)
Way to go with the red wine :teeth: A girl after my own heart
Well done for watching your portions! ;)

So, did you end up going to the beach or relax by the pool? ;) Sounds like you were able to relax and get some things done this weekend rather than driving people around. Hope you're well rested for the week to come!

Hi Anna,

I hope you had a good weekend. :goodvibes Did you end up at the beach or by the pool?

Have a great week ahead! :sunny:

I hope you had a great holiday! :cool1: Whether you had a beach day or pool day I hope it was fun and relaxing. I'm with you - I hate crowds!

Sorry to be so lax with journals. I am so tired at night, I keep thinking I'll get online early in the morning. But with the earlier school schedule, that's not working either. Anyway, gotta find a way to make it work...

Monday food was not good, but I did EXERCISE!! :cool1: We did end up going to the beach first thing in the morning and I took a walk (by myself too!!) for an hour. It felt good to get back out there. We came home mid afternoon and spent the rest of the day by the pool. I very nice day overall.

Yesterday, I was up and going at 6 am and didn't stop until after 9pm. The PTA newsletter had to get finished up and taken to the printer, and it was "meet the teachers" at DD3's preschool in the morning. I am not ready for my baby to go to school, so I stress ate :sad2: Usual afternoon running around with an added dose of preteen angst thrown in with DD10. I had planned on walking during swim practice but clearly needed to spend some time with DD instead. "Plan B" for taking a walk after DD3 was in bed also got nixed when she woke up crying as I was getting my running shoes on. Guess who has a cold? She sucks her thumb to go to sleep and when she gets congested she can't suck and breath at the same time -- makes her really, really mad. It took almost an hour for the decongestant to kick in and for her to fall asleep. By then it was nearly 9pm and the other two DD's were getting ready for bed - sigh.

Monday:
8:45a - Sausage McMuffin, OJ, 1/2 hashbrown (on the way to the beach)
3 pm - 3 margaritas, yummy burrito, chips & queso
7pm - 2 Mango Mochi (japanese ice cream thingies)
80 oz Water
60 minute beach walk :cool1:

Tuesday:
6:45a - 2 chocolate chip cookies
7:20a - apple
9a - 3 milano cookies, 12oz skim milk
12:15p - 1/2 chicken sandwich, nectarine
1:45p - 3/4c wasabi peanuts
5:30p - 1.5 servings chicken pot pie
80 oz water
