I had invited my good friends from Miami and their 2 boys to come up to OKW over the MLK long weekend.
Even though they were in a studio just downstairs from us, we only saw them for a few hours on Friday for DD's birthday breakfast. They totally missed the birthday party on Saturday.
Unfortunately, one of their boys came down with a fever and they took him to the clinic in Celebration on Saturday, just in case. Well, they didn't want to expose any of the other kids to whatever their son had, so they quarrantined him in their room with some family outings around the resort away from other people. We saw them riding by our patio on a surrey bike.
Too bad. I would have much preferred to spend time with their family instead of DH's family.
Well, my friend e-mailed me last week when we got back Florida and told me that she and her DH were thinking about buying DVC. I replied with "CALL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS - It'S LIKE ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOPICS OF CONVERSATIONS!!!"
She called and we had a LONG chat. We discussed the different resorts, buying direct or resale, 37 years vs. 49 years, use years, resale brokers, and other juicy topics. I was in my element!! It was a JOY to talk about my favorite subject to someone who wanted to hear! She finally decided on looking for a BWV resale.
My friends are very familiar with Disney. They've been there numerous times. They know what they like and what they don't. Their vacationing styles are similiar to ours. Our DHs get along with each other and actually have things to talk about.
Well, she e-mailed me again yesterday. They made an offer on a 200 BWV contract through Jaki and was accepted by the seller and are in the process of sending in all the paperwork! Croissing fingers about the ROFR...
Yipee, I got another DVC buddy besides my aunt! We may never have to vacation with people we don't get along with again!
