My imagination of what June was like and what it was really like..

Water park. Let me say it again: water park. I grew up in Miami. Won't find me in anything but a water park on a summer day. When the sun goes down, it's park time!
Sounds like a good idea. The problem this year is all the parks close by 10:00 except EMH nights.

Yea, the closure being so early could be problematic. You still won't find me in the parks midday. I don't like melting on what is supposed to be vacation.

I honestly don't remember specifics off the top of my head, but I can give you a little info! I don't think you can use your Magic Band. I think you can use coins or a credit card. I'm sorry I don't remember that well... I'm usually trying to hurry up with the laundry so that I can swim! One cool thing to check out, though: http://classic.laundryview.com/disneyworld/. This told us when the laundry machines were open so that we didn't waste our time hauling all of the items from our room. One tip: Use a suitcase for darks and another for lights, and roll 'em down! Easy peasy.

OMG!! What an awesome way to monitor the laundry situation! I had no idea this existed- thank you!!

I am from western WA and the humidity was quite the experience but we have grown to affectionately enjoy it...call us crazy! I did start to notice the last few years that 'ol loch mitchell will over flow her banks as the area between the 2 girly banks gets sweaty what I have found is a napkin or 2 stuck down the middle of the girls controls the discomfort and is highly economical to switch out every few hours! Coming back for 18 days on the 23 of August getting ready to stock up a small supply :rotfl:

Went this July...omg....almost unbearable! I was prepared. I had my little fan and my cooling towels...and I made it through but just barely. There was one day mid-trip that I couldn't go back to AK with the family because is even hotter there for some reason. I went to Epcot and stayed in the land for 1/2 the day, walked over to the Universe of Energy for a cooling 40 minutes and then went back to the land to eat and enjoy the three rides there. The heat definitely made the trip less enjoyable but I still had fun. In fact, my daughter has not changed our next year's trip from July to February so we can really enjoy the parks without all the suffering. It was brutally hot, like you were suffocating with all the humidity!

You explained summer in WDW perfectly. I had to laugh with you, I'm from the DC area and used to very humid and hot summers and say that it is an advantage as I can go to WDW in the summer.

We went late June last year and while it was hot, with the exception of couple of afternoons it was manageable. I would not recommend it, but not highly discourage it either.

One thing I would recommend is everyone going that time of year wear ample deodorant, and take at least 2 showers daily. The smell a couple of times was appalling, like rank subway stop but worse.
