My husband is 6'4 and around 250lbs. He's sure he won't be able to ride most of the rides. He has really wide shoulders and the thinks he's too tall and large to fit.
It's been around 10 yrs since I've been to wdw and we hadn't met yet.
Is this really a problem? Is there a thread were people discuss this?

Hi Shellbells! My BIL is about that same size 6'4" ~235lb and he fits into everything just fine. I will say he has more slender shoulders, but he goes on everything in WDW without a problem. We've also been to Cedar Point in OH and IoA together and never had a problem there either.

I can only think that the rides that have the over the shoulder harnesses may be a problem -- RnR/Expedition Everest and I'm sure I'm missing a few others. Other than that, he should do just fine with the lap bar/seat belt rides.
:yay:

Everest is just a lap bar, he will have no issues there

Thank you! I read through that thread and there was someone that fit my DH's description and he said he rode everything!

My husband is also about the same size (an inch shorter) but also 250~ lbs. He has ridden everything at all 4 parks on many trips.

I'm 6'1" and about 280. For perspective I wear a 58 coat and 38 pants. I fit in everything somewhat comfortably except for the mine train and space mountain I felt like my knees where in my nose and I was wedged in.

My husband is not quite 6 4 but he complains about space mountain everytime. Says it is uncomfortable to fit his knees in. He does it anyway though lol

Sounds like me. I was hoping to take DD5 on the People Mover while DW rides with the older kids, but she's shot up to 44" in the last five months and will want to ride.

To the OP - I'm 6'4" and 260. Lap bars are sometimes uncomfortable if I'm riding with one of the kids. Otherwise I don't recall having issues, although I do always feel like I'm going to hit my head on space and am always ducking in the ride photos.

I'm 6'4 and wish I was only 250. every ride is fine for me. The only recommendation I have is space mountain, he should not ride in the front of the car (rows 1 and 4), it's not obvious at first but your legs go under the seats in front of you but the first seats in the car there is less leg room.

He might have trouble with AstroOrbitor too. Very cramped and tough to get in and out of for a tall person.
Yes - I'm not as tall as others here (just 6 feet), but I have a lot of trouble with AstroOrbiter. Last time I made it even worse by trying to ride it with someone (never again).

Oh good point, he should skip astro orbiter, that is 1 ride I doubt I would fit but I've never tired... My daughter who is 5'9 told me not to even bother, she almost didnt' fit.

I'm not quite that big but at 6 ft and 225, I'm not tiny either. My son is 6-3 and 225 also. there are few like Space Mt and Astro Orbiter where things are tight and cramped but most rides have enough space.

I'm bigger and never had an issue. I remember being so nervous for EE but it was great.

Ride to skip: RNR. This ride was not meant for anyone over a certain height. I slouch in the seats and it is a once or twice a trip experience. I am 2" taller than your husband and similar size. Other ride to possibly skip is Space Mountain. This is a 2-3 time per trip ride for me (on the infrequent side of the spectrum). I can see where tall people could be uncomfortable. The Poo ride can be tight as well... Other than that it is a clean slate from my perspective...

My DH is 6'6", weighs 265 Lbs, has 50" shoulders, and legs up to his neck. He is like Paul Bunyan. He is fine. I think he would be uncomfortable in the Mine Train, but he never seemed to have issues on any other attractions. Not even my own nemesis, Space Mountain.

Buddy never seemed to have issues on RNR, but that may be because he is used to having to just be uncomfortable. He loves that attraction!!!

I'm definitely going have my husband read this thread. I was most worried about the The Mine, RRR, EE, SM. I'm planning which parks on which days and adrs. I was thinking about doing the early morning BOG so we could ride the fantasy land rides and maybe pirates and SM then heading over to either AK or DHS. I really want him to have a good time and not be worried. He's the type that won't even try if he thinks he won't fit. I hate to think about him waiting for us while we ride everything. You guys have really eased my mind. Thank you!

im 6'6" 330 and i fit on everything just fine. 7DMT and Space Mountain are the ones i have trouble with, 7DMT because of the width and SM because of my height, but I still fit. here's me on space mountain with my knees practically in the seat in front of me. (excuse my stupid face)
