is better than Typhoon Lagoon. But he has not even been to TL.

We purchased the Waterpark Fun and More Option this year because the last time we went to the watermarks a few years ago our DD was not with us and she wants to try it. Plus coming from MI on spring break one of our top priorities in sun and pool time. We have been to WDW many times and do not like to do the theme parks all day every day.

So my hubby is insisting that there is more for everyone to do in terms of water rides at BB. I was at TL about 20 years ago but remember it was enjoyable. I liked BB but would prefer to try TL because my DD would like to try the surfing.

Any thoughts? What is your favorite Waterpark and why?

We have DS (8) and DD (16). Our plan is to head to one on arrival day. Our flight gets in at 9 AM so we figure we could arrive at BB or TL by noon but not at opening.

We've been to both and definitely prefer Typhoon Lagoon! We love the wave pool and the lazy river. The kids love snorkeling in the shark tank and the water slides. My DM and I usually just find some nice chairs in the shade and the sand and relax!

I like TL just for the huge wave pool (got to experience that)

But blizzard beach has better family ride imo

Need to do both lol

TL has a water coaster called Crushin Gusher, a wave pool, a more beautiful tropical atmosphere instead of all that white cement and white plastic "snow". The lazy river is just gorgeous instead of ruined and tacky with BB snow themeing. Compromise and do both! :-)

From the Disney World web sight :
"this multi-passenger, roller-coaster-like raft ride, one of the park’s signature attractions! "
It opened in 2005. You can read more on the Disney World web sight, Wikepedia, you tube etc.

When we went to BB the family ride was closed so that was a huge bummer, we loved TL though, I think they both should be visited!!

While I haven't been to either, if I had to pick one, it would be BB, because they have "that slide".

the true surfing at TL is an extra ticket and is held in the morning before the park opens, I believe, and is not included in your "water park and more" option. If you're just talking about body surfing in the big wave pool, then she can do that most of the day at TL. The big tsunami style wave happens about once every 2-3 minutes for about an hour and a half, then they stop it for about an hour, then it goes back on for another 90 minute cycle thru out the day.

I much prefer TL. The atmosphere is a lot nicer in my opinion and it's just a more relaxed time for me. My older DS prefers TL as well, but really only for the wave pool. My dd prefers BB - really there's probably more to do at BB and they have an area just for kids/teens.

To me, TL is a much prettier park. It seems to be a little more laid back, and my kids enjoy doing swimming with the sharks. BB does have better rides I think though - we especially love the family raft ride. Since you have the waterpark fun and more option, do both! :)

I prefer BB. I like the theme, rides, and wave pool better.

Taking into consideration DD...BB is your best option.

I was going to post this exact thing!
My family far prefers TL. We like the theme better, the sand, the Crush n Gusher, the lazy river, wave pool etc...
But I would probably show the kids some photos, park maps and/or utube videos of both parks so they can decide.

Both awesome. BB has the huge slide. TL has the wave and the snorkeling. BB is better for younger kids. Food is about the same in the QS.

When our children were very small, they preferred BB because of the great kids area. When they got a bit older they preferred TL because of the awesome wave pool and the sharks. My wife and I - we prefer t be left alone at a quiet pool, with a drink in our hands. You're not going to find that at either water park.

Agree with previous posts. Also being from Michigan, I prefer TL because it is so lush and green. BB has so much white concrete because of the fake snow theme. I don't need to look at more white stuff. Really want to immerse myself in the tropical theme. Have been to both with kids and without. Both young and older kids. Everyone still loves TL better.

BB has more bigger and thrilling slides so it was the first one I visited and I liked it,however after visiting TL I realized I prefer it to BB,it just has a more laid back feel while still having good slides.I also prefer the more spread out layout of the park,I'm not a fan of having the majority of the slides up the mountain at BB,the wave pool is also a bit small when compared to TL.They're both good but I prefer TL.
