Quick update...I was approved the apartment all on my own. No co signer, seems like a little thing but that is a very big deal to me. I feel like someone else has been calling the shots for me most of my adult life. It's nice to be standing on my own 2 feet.

Move in less than 2 weeks!!!!!

That;' great news about the apartment. And I'm sure you will do just fine. I went right from my parents house to my husband's. After 21 years of marriage we split up. I was scared that I couldn't manage on my own(he was a controller and was in charge of everything.). I was very lonely and made the mistake of jumping into a disasterous second marriage. Just take time for yourself. I am now single, happy and doing great.
I know you can do it!!!
