A while back on the Dis someone posted asking for the recipe for the cinnamon candied almonds from WDW. I am in love with those, so it stayed in my mind. It had never occured to me before that I could make those at home.
I lost that post, but googled the recipe and found this:

I just made them tonight. Oh my GOSH. They were super easy, and they make the house smell incredible, but nothing compares to the taste. When you first take them out of the oven (and can't wait for them to cool) they are warm and soft and delicious. But, they get even better when you wait! The coating gets crispy and candy-like and they are completely addicting! I ate way too many and have a total stomach ache. This means an extra mile or two of running tomorrow. Worth it!! :worship:

PS- I made them with a combination of almonds and pecans, because that's what I had in the cupbaord. Equally incredible! I'll bet cashews would be awesome too.

The funny thing is, I don't even really like nuts!

Yeah!! I received a 3lb. bag of almonds for Christmas. Now I know what I am doing with half of them:thumbsup2 Thanks

Thank you so much for posting this. My husband totally loves these but we have a hard time finding them. FYI, Aldi has the least expensive nuts anywhere so I'll picking some up tomorrow. I think it will be a nice extra something to put out at DH's manly man poker game Saturday night

Your husband and his friend will kiss the ground you walk on! Aldi is where I bought my nuts! My only regret is not quadrupling this recipe.

...wow, I have to try this recipe! I ALWAYS have to buy a package of them at the kiosk between Jungle Cruise and POTC in MK! THANKS! :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting this- I used this recipe last night, and they are wonderful!

And you're right about the smell- the whole house smelled delicious. :woohoo:

Thanks for this! I just sent the recipe to my mom. She looooooves them and has been complaining about how they now substitute so many peanuts into the mix at the carts in Epcot, so now she can make her own.

Can't wait to try this recipe! Thanks :goodvibes Love the detailed instructions with pics. We used to get Mandelnusse in Germany when I was a kid, at special events like Oktoberfest or Christkindle Markets. The smell is something I miss almost as much as the taste!
