mrs suess wouldnt allow anything scary, that's why it is how it is

Great pics. You went on Sat the 5th which explains the huge crowds, opening weekend. Howl-O-Scream was also packed the first night. I'm going Thursday the 10th, so we'll see what happens off peak night.

Thanks for the review nWo. MsDis and i are going 10/17:smooth:

The pictures are great. I'm thinking about buying a new camera, what did you use to take those pictures?

I've finally went thru all of your pictures and I see you even got one of me...which one it is im not telling.....:jester:

Just got back. A brief crowd report.

IOA during the day Thursday October 10th. The 3 islands of The Lost Continent, JP, and Toon Lagoon don't open until 10am. I was first to DD, and rode Fire in the front seat literally by myself. Fun to be on a completely silent coaster.

HHN was packed Thursday October 10th. The day crowd was light, with visitors from the UK. But the locals came out at night, many people with their dates.
The Stay and Scream location was moved to the Enchanted Oak Restaurant, across from DD.
Funny, I didn't know this and hung out in the JP discovery center for a while before a security guard told me where to go.
Some mazes didn't open until 8pm, this made it hard to game plan and caused long lines at the others. You end up having to take 2 laps of the park to see everything.
You must be in the park at the Enchanted Oak before 05:30pm so you can get a head start on the crowd.
In the maze near Popeye, I made a right turn and ended up in the ride. I think this was better than the maze. Don't worry, I quickly turned around and found my way back. In each maze, you enter thru the sign, and then there is still a queue area before you get to the maze itself. All of the mazes had a line of people going to the sign, or past it, I'd say about 30 minutes.

HOS Friday October 11th at BGT. I was at the gate, and they opened half and hour early at 7pm. I started at the maze over near Montu, Dimented Dimension, and worked my way around the park. It was really cool because I was literally by myself. You wear 3d glasses on this one. The scarators did their job, and it was fun to see a maze at full speed and not know what was going to happen. Usually, you're stuck behind people and you see what's going to happen up ahead. Light crowd, I did all mazes in 1.5 hours. Front seat ride on Montu in the dark, the coaster was really running fast. Park started to fill up as I left, but not as bad as HHN.

So what do I think of the two parks?
They're both good. The long lines at HHN we're tuff. Maybe they need 6 mazes like HOS. There's just more people in Orlando than Tampa. HHN mazes are really dark.
The HOS mazes have more light, but all seem the same. People banging on the walls, jumping out at you, or dropping a secret window that makes a loud bang as it hits the ground. Not a bad thing, it just gets predictable after a while.

For HHN from here on out, the VIP book is a good idea. On a Peak night, it's manditory.

Robvia,

It's not a VIP book, it's Caretaker's Express.
