OK, first of all, I just got a voicemail message at work from our DD17, saying something about an "accident" and "the car" and "firetruck/ambulance"! I called her back on her cell phone and found out that her friend, Francesca, had a "fender bender" in the parking lot at the beach. The kids have off from school today and several of them went to the beach.
Our DD took her car with some friends and they met Francesca there with her sister and cousin. Our DD had just called a few minutes ago to say they were leaving the beach, going to McDonald's, and then home, cause Francesca and DD had to work this afternoon (at the same assisted living facility).
Long story short, DD's OK, was not involved in the accident, nor did she witness it, but Francesca is being taken to the hospital by ambulance to get checked out. DD called them both in sick for work so DD could stay with her. Francesca's mother is also on her way to the hospital. I'm sorry that Francesca is hurt (and her car), but SO RELIEVED that DD is OK and wasn't involved in any way (is that wrong of me?).
On top of that, I just finished with "butterflies in my stomach" because we received our cash-out proceeds from our refinancing and I just finished paying off literally "thousands" of debt online for various credit cards. That's another story, but we are finally getting out of almost all of our CC debt. I know that's a good feeling, but I can't help but feel nervous/excited about doing it and my stomach is reflecting that.
And, need I mention the fact that I'm in the middle of performing in a local play, and we start our 2nd weekend of shows tonight. Even though I've been acting for 30+ years, I still get nervous beforehand.
AHHHHHHHHHH! My heart, my stomach, my head!!!

You wouldn't be doing the play if you didn't like to do it and make sure you cut up your credit cards now! I'm glad your DD is OK and I hope your DD's friend is OK too.
