I got up on Saturday. Wife dressed me in funny Bright WISH shirt. Wife put me on a big bus and I went far away (EPCOT). Saw other people in bright WISH shirts. Now for my training for the half. I walked from the 1st staging area to the 2nd staging area. Fireworks went off over head, and many people picked me up and pushed me down the course about 11.5 miles. At some point near mile 12.1, I woke up in pain. I kept asking for my wife... but everyone told me the same thing... I would have to walk another 1 mile to see her. Well, since she had the room key with her (and all the money and tickets and plans...and she is a cute girl...) I thought I may as well just go that last 100 miles..... or 1 mile (same thing by then ). A couple of pointer for next time..... BODY GLIDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BODY GLIDE !!!!!!!!!! BODY GLIDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, that was 3 points, not 2. Oh, and get this.... the next day.... up at 2am. I meet some young lady who took me far away in her car (WWoS) , then she leaves me there all by myself..(missed ya Krista)... what the heck.... oh wait, what did my wife mumble to me before I left the room??? oh ya, look for some of those Bright WISH shirts.... they will comfort me....or was it have fun and behave (why does she always say that??? Is she trying to confuse me??? which one????... have fun.. OR behave??? ) well anyway.. I walk blindly towards these WISH shirts (oh, I was also walking in pain... did I mention BODY GLIDE?????) and sure enough, they started talking to me.(Kristi, Judy, Angie, and one other unsung hero).... well, long story short, we put some water on a table, a bunch of people ran past us, grabbed FREE water from our hands, we dumped the left over water on the ground (I wanted to carry all of the full tables of water to another water stop... somehow I lost that one). And then Kristy let me tag along with her to AK. We stood on the curve by the front gate cheering for the WISHERS. Remind me to pass a law stating only WISHERS may wear Bright LOUD WISH shirts... It got confusing there for awhile. Well, I can say I think I saw all of the WISHERS who passed that point. On a sad note, when I saw my DW coming around the corner... I knew she was done. I wish I could have helped her... but by then it was over. I will never be able to thank KRISTI for all of her help and kind words while waiting for me and the DW to catch a bus back to POP. Once again, if any one wants to know what makes a WISHER a WISHER... just talk to Kristi.
... and Judy... what a blast you are... I will pour water with you anytime ...
... and one more thing... thanks ANNE... I think I gained 5 pounds from your cake...
