My Guinea Pig is 7.5! How old was/is your oldest pet?

Our beloved fur baby, a Pomeranian/Pekinese mix died just last week at the age of 17 1/2.

We miss her so much it hurts .

Our cat Rudy lived to be 16. We put him down last June because of failing health.

My grandpas cat AJ died a few years ago at the ripe old age of 23!!!!

He was so old and boney but sweet and friendly right up until the end!

My dear Sammi passed just 8 days ago at 12 1/2 years. She was a golden. We've never had luck with our pets, even growing up. They all got sick, had cancer, had one lab just up and die one day at the age of 8 years. Toby is doing ok at 10 years, he's a golden mix. He does have irritable bowel syndrome, don't know if that will shorten his life or not.

Our cats & dogs have lasted in the 17-18 year span. DD has a rabbit that is about 9 or 10. I've never had a "small" animal last that long before.
