My friends think i'm daft!

Sorry, had to post this as the only people who get this are fellow DISers! Going back to WDW in august for 3rd time, and I am just as excited as ever. Found a website that gives me a countdown to when we fly, so have got it set as my homepage! I now know exactly how long til we fly in days, in hours, in minutes and in seconds! Told my friend, but as she has never been to WDW she doesn't get it! Someone reassure me on here that I am normal!

Not sure that I can do that. Are we normal? Lots of people think we're mad - we've been 8 times, just organising the 9th trip now.

But hey, who wants to be normal?! At least on here you're amongst friends!

You are completely normal and it's just right to feel this excited about going back, we are just as excited and this year will be DH's 9th visit my 7th visit and DS's 6th visit we quite simply love it in WDW and Orlando, what's not to love We also have a good count down and check the weather and such to see what's going on in the parks even when we are stuck at home in our daily routine it's what keeps us sane We like to watch old footage from previous holidays that DH has put on to DVDs, we love to watch the Disney films based on the rides too so lots of POTC and Haunted Mansion and films like that and we get out the photos and talk about things in the parks. Keep browsing the forums here too it's all useful stuff and regularly updated by other members. It helps us get through to our departure day I'm not obsessed (much ) I'm a holiday planner who wants to get the finer details right and still have time for fun

We've been 17 times, and going on our 18th in 39 sleeps, I don't think we're insane at all.

This whole site is dedicated to people who get it, that makes me feel normal, I do try and calm myself down a bit when I am asked for my input for someone elses holiday, but by the look on their faces they think I'm mad.

To be honest yes I think you are daft, I know this because I am too, totally and completely bonkers...........still, at least I know that I am not alone as several million absolutely daft people go to Florida every year, and keep going back!

LOL! I have some friends like that, who just don't get it. I couldn't care less, they are the who don't get it!

When we were planning our honeymoon (nearly 8 years ago) we always assumed we'd go to Disney World, that had been our dream since we started dating. However, somehow we got side tracked and went on a cruise instead. The best comment regarding our honeymoon choice we got was from my inlaws, they were relieved that we weren't going Disney World, as you know, it's not exactly a very "adult/mature" choice DH now has so much teasing them that we are yet again going back to Disney World They must think we are bonkers, then again, I think the same about them

That's terrible - my DH works long hours as he has his own business and he also has to be on call. I work part-time, sort the kids out, housework...etc. If we didn't have holidays to plan and look forward to we would go nuts! I would put the comment your 'friend' made down to jealousy.

You are normal, its the people who haven't sampled the delights of Florida and everything it has to offer that are the nutters Everytime we book up people ask why we keep going to the same place, my answer is to ask them if they have ever been, they always say NO, so I tell them that they will never understand why we keep going back.
