I was hoping something would come out today for Disney Visa card holders. Nothing so far.

Just going by historical release dates. The last 5 years. They always released free dining in march - April. For the fall

Everything this year seems to be later. For the spring promo they have now it wasn't released until Jan 3, 2013.

Last year the same spring promo(2012) was released in Nov. 2011 for 2012.
We stayed last year in the beginning of June and booked the spring discount on New years Day.

Question I booked way back over a year ago put deposit with my Disney Visa. If a discount comes out don't they have to cancel original and rebook for the discount? I am wondering because I have applied about 12 gift cards towards the balance. I have saved them all but do they have to credit each and everyone back and reapply I hope not. Thanks for any info

Well, it’s good news, but frustrating that they end the promotion on a Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever it is. We are there the 11-16, but I’m not about to rebook my ADRs to go a week earlier.

For the Spring Promo, the Disney Visa holders got a 1 week jump start, so that would be tomorrow. Normally its just a few days, so I am not expecting it until Thursday. But I will be glued to this board starting tomorrow AM until we hear something!

I am pretty sure August/September is considered late summer rather than fall. Think that is where everyone gets confused. I see people say they can't wait for fall discounts meaning Aug/Sept. Then I see others saying can't wait for fall meaning Oct/Dec. Maybe Aug/Sept is early fall and Oct/Dec late fall. Who knows, but I do know it gets confusing. LOL

You are right ! I never thought about it that way. Haha. I can't wait for them to release something ! Right now I have a lot of money saved for Disney but I might not need as much if we get a good discount ! Ugh. I'm so impatient haha

As long as you are not going from a room only to a package (or vice versa), nothing needs to be cancelled and rebooked. It will just be a modification to your existing reservation.

Thanks so Much, I was thinking I would have to totally cancel rebook. We already have a package booked and keeping it the same I was worried I would be on the phone for a long time

You have to let the summer promos drop first, then the late summer will follow. Remember those discounts don't usually come this early anyway, and last year spoiled everyone with that. Give it around the end of April and you'll see more action.

No other promos besides the one starting on April 2nd. Some folks are asking about late July and September, etc and other summer deals.

I am looking at 7/29-8/6, which is not considered late summer I don't think. Is it still rumored to have discounts coming out on 4/2? I figured that would be when the discounts for the time period I am going would come out. I really hope Disney Visa cardholders get an early jump on booking though.

I apologize if this has already been answered, esp. if it has been multiple times. I did look for the answer in this thread, but if it's there I missed it. Anyway

Am I correct in understanding that the discounts coming out April 2nd are identical to what is being offered under the spring discount?

Example: first week of June at CBR = $2,154.88 w/ park hoppers

Would the first week of August at CBR w/ park hoppers be the same?

It would probably be around the same amount, maybe a little cheaper since Aug. is value season. Just check out the difference in rates per night for your resort for the two seasons.

And yes the discount is supposed to be the same as the spring discount. But nothing is written in stone yet.
