I've been absent from the DIS for a while but DH told me about your DH. I'm sorry that you are going through so much this last year. I know it is frightening. My dad had cancer in his kidney. He did pull through ok. He was 52 at the time and he is still with us and has had no problems since. Have faith Kath. We will all be sending prayers and P.D. and I will keep sending lots of positive energy back to you in MI.

I'm so sorry for your news. You and DH will be in my prayers! My DH had Kidney Cancer last year and had half of his kidney removed. He came through with flying colors, no chemo, no rads, about an 8 week recovery, though. PM me anytime!!

I debated for quite awhile about posting this. I hate sounding all needy.

The truth is that I need your strength and courage and prayers.

My husband has been diagnosed with cancer of the right kidney. He will have an angiogram on Monday and then on Friday, 11/18 he will have a radical nephrectomy.

I know that he can live well with one kidney. The cancer part is so terrifying, though.

If you don't pray will you think good thoughts for us? Please share your strength with me. I'm terrified.

Dear Katholyn, I am so sorry to hear this about your DH, yes it is a scary time for the both of you! I will keep you and him in my Prayer's!
I got my strength from my own humor! I have found that laughter is the best for me. My courage I from GOD, he gave me actually both strength and courage! I am still walking on my road to a full complete recovery! I believe I will make it!
