My dad had this, and also my SIL's mother. Both recovered well, and are as active as ever. I will keep you in my prayers. It must be so scary, many hugs to you tonight. :grouphug:

I know it's scary to hear "cancer" but often, if the tumor is contained in the kidney(which is often the case with kidney cancer), it's very curable with removal of the kidney and some follow-up.

Katholyn - I'm saying prayers for your dh's health & for you for strength. Just to give you hope - my grandmother had kidney cancer before I was born. That was more than 44 years ago. She had surgery & is doing well - at 89 she's at an assisted living center & very much enjoying her "golden years".
