This is Rachel. I am proud to call her friend. She is also my hero.
Rachel suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Amongst other things. She spends half her time in various hospitals with Pig, her soft toy. She has needles directly inserted into her own heart. She is wired to machines. She can't keep food down. She is in constant pain.
But.
She is always positive. She posts regularly on Facebook, cheerily, singing the doctor's praises. When she was isolated in a hospital room during Covid, she grew daffodils on her room window ledge. She always makes me laugh.
She is amazing.
