My friend Jason Lyons-Your Friend Pop Daddy or Low-Key

How truly lovely that you joined the forum and shared your memories. I didn't get to know him on here (I don't think I've been on here long enough or often enough to know any of the other members, really), but you paint such a beautiful picture of him and of the friendship you shared. ...Being there for others; lifting them; making them laugh - we'd probably all benefit from giving and getting more of that.

❤ He was always his own biggest fan (used to tell him that too, lol) :rotfl2:One of the many qualities I adored him for :)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:cheer2:

Welcome KeyNote! And thank you so much for sharing your heart with us. I am so very sorry for your loss. Jason was obviously a very special person and one who will be sorely missed both in “real” life as well as our “cyber” life. His passing has hit a lot of us very hard. May he be at peace.❤️❤️

What a lovely heartfelt tribute , Key Note. I don’t keep up here as much as some others, and I had been wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts lately from Lowkey. (Although in my mind he will always be Popdaddy.)

I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend. It’s clear you had a special bond. God bless.

Jason was special to me. I wish I had known him IRL because online I thought he hung the moon. I'm envious that you actually got to know the real Jason. God bless you. I know you must be hurting. I hope that our heartfelt memories will bring you comfort. Thank you for finding us and sharing your special memories of him. <3

Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself. I am a personal good friend and past co-worker to Low-Key, Pop Daddy, or as I called him Jay SUN. Whoever he is to you I can see how much he was loved on these boards and was everyone's friend. Jason talked highly about these boards and would tell me stories about how he would banter with some, cheer others on, and always try to provide laughter. He often tried to bring me to the boards but I never did get around to checking them out, well, until now...

Thank you for coming to the boards and giving us some insight to Jason as you know him. He's been a big part of the Disboards, and brought smiles to many faces here, as well as reaching out when people needed it. My deepest condolences to you and his family.

I am also going to add this to Dan’s Our friend, low key thread with the other links in post #175 so as to keep all these in one place. I hope maybe his daughter can read them all some day! (@DanMurphy, feel free to move them to OP if you want to.)

It’s interesting the song you posted, @Key-note. Were there other songs, too, that Jay had you listen to? If so, what were some of them? His life was filled with music!

So sorry for the loss of your friend and thank you @Key-note for sharing your memories of Jason with us.

I always looked forward to his threads. He will be missed. May he RIP. Our condolences to all his loved ones.

(I love the song Brandy).
Jason was a bit older then me so often he would tell me about a song or have me listen to a song that was from his era :) Brandy was one he convinced me to love the way he did

Jason and I both had a love for music, but often, he would love a song that I wasnt fond of, lol and he would tell me i was nuts for not liking it. Then he would go on to get me to see how amazing lyrics were, how he viewed them, ect. One song that comes to mind is Bruce Springsteen "I'm on fire". I always thought the song was "ok" that is until Jason had a play by play to his love for the song and to this day it will always be one of my all time favorite songs..He and I would often video ourselves singing and being silly and once he sent himself singing this song. Was hilarious. I laughed for days on that video. Man, I wish I had kept it so I could show everyone.

This brought tears to my eyes. Jason was a special person for sure. Hugs to you!

Sad news. Jason was a positive and thoughtful guy. He gave me his patented "Hey" response several years ago, which was greatly appreciated. I always viewed him as the "Mayor" of the Community Board.

Proposal: Could we have a sub-board for some of his favorite topics?
