This week I have learned a very valuble lession on keeping an eye on your Apartment Landlord. I just found out that my rent is lower then i have been paying because My former Landlord raised my rent without reason and tacking on extra charges:mad: . I was paying $463.00 for a 1 room studio when i should be paying only $399.00 which is what im paying now after the current landlord discovered what was going on. When the manager of the company that owns the Apartment found out what happened the former Landloard was fired. Sooo My advice to you is when you sign your lease every year make sure that you read the paperwork before you sign it .:thumbsup2

Thats Great. Lessons Learned. $$$$ earned

So the person was just pocketing the difference?
Thats what i was Thinking. from what my Girlfriend was hearing . She almost had to pay a $75.00 late fee on New years day because she was accused of turning in her rent payment late when the first was on a holiday. She did not have to pay the late fee

Wow! Sounds like a real slumlord. Good thing you got out from under that. I rent too so that's good advice. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. I had no idea rents were that low in other parts of the country.

Glad you got it sorted out.

WOW, live and learn. I hope everything works out! :thumbsup2

$399 rent? That's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. What's it like in Columbus? What kind of jobs are out there?

Columbus Ohio has been know for Ohio State Football but we have hardly anything in the Downtown area. But we have a Great Shopping Complex just 20 minutes from Downtown and 5 minutes north of the Airport called Easton Town Center it has a 30 screen AMC movie Theatere. The Columbus Zoo just got a new water park that will open this summer and the zoo is expanding The Malls may be hiring The Bank i work at is always Hiring

That is a good rent amount. Rent prices vary a LOT in the Columbus area. You can pay anywhere from $350-$1500 and above depending on location and size. We rented a two bedroom townhouse eight years ago and paid over $800.00 in Northwest Columbus.

I live near westerville. (1 block north of State Route 161 & Cleveland Ave) there are many Apartments near the Apartment where i live. Im like i said live in a 1 room studio near The Columbus Square Plaza. I lived there for 12 years
