We had breakfast at the resort & we decided to go to EPCOT because we haven't gone to EPCOT yet. We had a dinner reservations at Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios.
We took the bus to EPCOT. After I got my bags checked by security we went to where they had ECV rentals so I could rent an ECV. Our hotel key didn't work but we had a feeling that the cashier wasn't doing it right. We just paid by credit card. EPCOT was also having their Annual Flower & Garden Festival which is why my stories are titled Flower Power Disney Story.
After I got my ECV we went to Spaceship Earth. I loved it in December & I know they did a refurbishment of it but I don't remember what the original was like. We didn't have to wait too long in line either. Spaceship Earth is a ride inside the EPCOT Ball. They have you sit in a car & it talks about what the Earth will be like in the future. They even take a picture of you and put you on a monitor in a car. You can even do a quiz. It's hilarious. It's one of my favorites but I only went on it once this time because it's a popular ride.
After riding on Spaceship Earth, we decided to stay on the left side of Future World this time. We went into Innoventions & looked around that area. I even emailed a postcard to some of my friends & family. Did you get one?
After Innoventions we went into the Seas With Nemo & Friends because I wanted to see Turtle Talk with Crush. He was hilarious the last time. This time we sat in the front & he was really funny again. We didn't go into the Finding Nemo ride because last time I was disappointed with it. Finding Nemo is a ride where you ride in a Clam mobile & you have to look for Nemo. I was also having sinus problems so I didn't feel like doing much to begin with, at least when I first got there.
I just had to go on Soarin & since I was in the ECV this time, I didn't mind the long wait. Once we got up to the seating area I got excited because this time we got to sit in the first row. I loved the first row. Soarin is a ride that comes from Disney Land in California. Its like a high glider type of ride but that doesn't mean I will really fly on one.
After Soarin we went to Honey I Shrunk The Audience 4D show. We didn't do this the last time because we couldn't find it. This is one of Louis' favorite attractions so we had to do it. I don't mind it but I don't care for the mouse part. Its a 4D show based on the movies about a guy named Wayne Selinsky & his invention to shrink items but he accidentally shrinks the audience. After the show we went over to Figment Into Your Imagination because we have never seen it before. I loved it & I think Figment the purple dinosaur is really cute. He wasn't out so I didn't get to meet him this time. Also in the area there was a fountain that liked to jump from one area to the other. There is one point where it even gets you wet. I even got a little bit wet. It was neat. I even took video of it.
We decided to mosey on over to the other side of Future World & we went into a butterfly pavilion. It was OK & yes there were real butterflies flying around. We skipped the Ellen ride because I did that the last time. We went into the area where the Making Of Me used to be housed but this time they only had flower & garden stuff. It was sad because I loved the Making Of Me. We rode over to Mission: Space & we were reading the precautions. I wasn't ready to go on it yet. Maybe someday. We did go over to Test Track. Test Track is a thrill ride where you sit in a car with other people & it takes you through all these tests that they do on the car & then my most favorite part ever, you think you are going to crash into a wall but instead you are speeding around a track. It's a lot of fun.
After being in that area I was trying to find the Coke sample place but I couldn't find it. It's very well hidden so this time we decided to skip it. We went through Canada & Off Kilter wasn't playing that day & then we drove through United Kingdom. British Invasion was performing but we had to turn in my ECV for a few hours because we had to take a Friendship Boat to Hollywood Studios for our dinner reservations.
We got to Hollywood Studios for our dinner reservations at Hollywood & Vine. Hollywood & Vine is a buffet restaurant right next door from the 50s Prime Time Cafe. The food was OK & they didn't have a very good selection this time. It's one of those restaurants where if you skip it you wont miss it.
After eating we took the Friendship boat back to EPCOT & I picked up my ECV & we got to the American Gardens pavilion for a free concert. The concert was Starship starring Mickey Thomas. I thought this was a really good concert too. We loved it so much that we even stayed for the second show.
After the concert we decided to stay for Illuminations. We sat in the handicapped area. This was even better than seeing it at the Pop Century Resort from afar because you can see everything. I took video of this show in December but this time I took pictures of it. Illuminations is a fireworks show & the music is great.
After Illuminations we had to turn in my ECV so we could get our $20 refund back. We had to take our time because the crowd had to file out. After we got out of EPCOT we went to the Pop Century resort line to wait for the bus. Not only did we have to wait for a very long time but people in wheelchairs would have to wait longer because there wasn't a place for them to get out of the line like they could in the other resorts.
After we got back to the Pop Century resort I filled up our mugs & then we went to our room for the night.
