Hi, is there anyone else out there using My Fitness Pal and would like to be friends?

I'm using this app it's helped me lose over 2 stones so far after 3 months!! The key to it is burning off those calories, it's pretty accurate for me I use the bar code scanner and if that isn't enough I work out my calories and just add them in a nifty minute it's easy to use. I exercise regularly (elliptical trainer 30-40 mins every other day) and often walk home from work too . Just try to eat healthy and it will soon come off you. The app asks for your start weight (you don't have to connect with anyone if you don't feel comfortable with doing that) and your height and works out a daily calorie intake which it will re-calculate once you lose a few pounds. It's totally up to you how often you weigh yourself and input it in the app. You can even see how you are doing month by month on a chart in the app. Good luck.

The exercise is what I've been lacking so once I feel back to normal (chest infection) I'm getting back on to it, thanks for your advice and keep up the good work :goodvibes

I've registered tonight as I'm starting Slimming World next week - using it for a food diary
 
I'm on there too...I'm rach066 :goodvibes I'm hoping to be as successful as my brother who's lost 45lbs using it since May '12! :thumbsup2
 
In considering using it but not until february once ive completed my early years professional status. Until then, its major stress eating and writing till late! Then it will be slimming world and exercise! Xx
 
I am starting again as of today ... worked well for me last year but as ever my willpower let me down in the end.

Remember not to go too far under your daily calorie intake or your body will start rebelling against your efforts because you will be in. "starvation mode". Try to keep it within about 100 calories from your daily intake. Regular exercise will soon tone you up too. Keep drinking lots of water( very important) to flush out any of the bad stuff from your body you will soon feel much better.
 
Had my first weigh in and maintained :)

Really pleased as I've still got my chest infection and not worrying too much about what I eat. I finish my tablets on Monday so will be on it better and hopefully being able to exercise a little more without getting out of breath after 2 mins
