This is our first big trip planned by us and outside of the state of Wisconsin. I forgot to mention we live in Wisconsin. Summers arn't too bad can get quite hot and humid. I don't care much for the heat myself and sweat easily. My job doesn't help that issue much as I sit in a room that is about 70° all year round. Anyways..... I have been getting the Disney Planning DVD's for years. Always wanted to go back.
A little back story on the planning DVD's
The very first DVD I had ordered I told my wife about, (We had been dating for a while now). She thought i was crazy. My wife was working at The Credit Union in town, I was working for a plumber. My hours were always different my wife's were usually set. I don't remember all of the details but I got home before my wife on the day the dvd came. I waited and waited for the dvd to come and finally..... IT WAS HERE. Finally!! I was soo excited that i opened the package put it in the dvd player and started watching. After about 20 mins of watching the dvd I glance outside and notice it is getting dark and Holly isn't home yet. That is weird. The phone rang. I go to the house phone and noticed there is a message on the answering machine. Oh, Hey i forgot to check the phone. So I answered the phone and it was my mother in law. She asked if I got Holly's message (was the message on the answering machine that I hadn't listend to yet). I said no. She then informed me that Holly was in an accident. Not serious. A guy was going to fast for the load he was hauling and rear ended her. She was ok. Just shocked and her neck was a little sore. Well of course now i fell like a horses backend. But it was Disney. My wife tells people this story and laughs about it now.
Ok we are back to present day. So I had ordered a new Disney planning dvd and received it (no accidents this time) Our boys were to the age where I felt that they could go on all of the rides. I asked my wife if she could look into it (She is now a stay at home mom), and found out she had been already. I was shocked. She always seemed like she wasn't too interested. As I had mentioned she had gone to
Disneyland and didn't see what was so great about Disney World. Finally I had rubbed off on her.
So she had already looked up ride height requirements and had been looking into going to Disney World. I had to pinch myself. I thought I was dreaming. I never thought she would go. I had hinted around it before with very little response. This could happen!!. This was all discussed during Christmas break. (I have the week between Christmas and New Years off.) In mid Jan we pulled the trigger and booked it for May. (Was our first big trip and I hadn't found the Disboards or the Disdads yet.) Booked May 7 - 14 at Caribbean Beach Resort. 106 days to go. I can't wait. We couldn't keep it from the boys. They were excited.
I then found the Disboards and the Disdads and started to get more information. One thing we overlooked. Sort of. Florida weather. Ahh, it is early May. It can't be that hot at that time yet right??????
