My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

Yes I do believe this TR is enhanced a lot but it is sooo goood. I almost never read comments as I want the writer's report only. I rarely look over comments but one person said Sarah Brown and it's Samantha Brown on the travel channel. I have THROUGHLY enjoyed this and you my friend are a gifted writer that pulls you in and won't let you go. If u work in a mom and pop store quit ASAP. You are a gifted writer. I would looooove to see pix of you and Rig. If he is as half as good as u say he is a keeper. And not selling yourself short u too r a talented lady who clearly loves her man. That is so refreshing these days. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for this story!!!!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

I live north of Milwaukee, and my teachers always said, 'go get a drink at the bubbler'.

I have come so close to seeing the Osbourn lites. I booked our vacation in Nov., because Sarah Brown from the Travel Channel, said, Disney turns on the Osbourne Lites in early Nov. In Nov. 08, Disney decided to conserve energy, and didn't turn the lites on till Thanksgiving. But someday, I will get to see them.
you'e never seen then? OMG! Mari, you have to! meet up with nebo and me this dec! (and it's samantha; one of the "naysayers caught you on that. sheesh)

I swear the high school musical show was stalking us.
me to! If we WANTED to see the sutpid show, it would have evaded us! but.. everytime we passed that way.. THERE it WAS!

I swore I would not post about this, but I just have to put my two cents in. I don't know why people are still debating wether this report is true or not after being asked by the moderators not to, more than once.

I guess this makes me guilty too, but I have to add. When my brother was younger he was arrested several times for offences such as DUI, public intoxication and fighting. Usually I was the one that had to go get him and he was always in his regular clothes when I picked him up. Maybe it depends on the severity of the charge, I really don't know, but I do absolutely know they don't always put you in prison garb right away.

Posting photos from photobucket, or just about any online photo service is a nightmare, and at times impossible when you have dial up service. The day we finally got dsl was a very happy day for me, for many reasons, that one included.

Lee - I still absolutely love this report. It's got to be one of the best written, most entertaining, TRs I've ever read. Every time I finish an update I'm on pins and needles for the next one. Thanks for sharing with us.

Terri

Oh Lee,

I was laughing outloud about your experience at 50's Prime Time Cafe. I love that place! The servers are fantastic and really play a role in making that meal a true Disney experience.

So glad to hear you ate your veggies and kept your elbows off the table. Although, it is funny when the servers make a customer wear a dunce hat! LOL

Ready for more TR!!! :rotfl2:

RigLee, I have been enjoying your report. Your writing style has me there with you every step of the way. I find myself day dreaming about the report as if I was there myself. I don't need any photos to help me out. And I respect your privacy.

I returned to this site after my sisters said they were bringing their families to Disney, I had not returned often after planning our trip 5 years ago, as I new it was our one and only.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this next comment!!!
I like reading trip reports but prefer the ones with not many photos especially the ones that are repetitive family photos with different back grounds.
It's nice to put a face to the caracters in the report but not in excess.
I can only look at your sleeping child in their stroller so many times.

I can't believe on a site that is used to discuss all things DISNEY, the land of make believe , what Disney is all about, people would debate your memories.

I BELIEVE.

Anxiously awaiting your next installement.

J

P.S. here is my 2 cents on the debate about the ride to the police station.

The police needed a calmer/safer enviroment to interview them both and sort out the witness info(hotel manager) and each of their story about the altercation.
Both were processed as guilty parties and put in a safe area(holding cell) until it was determined what happened. Then Rig was released.

Not an expert of the law and not claiming to be one just my take.

You've inspired me to hand over the kids to our friends who are traveling with us for one of the dark rides :) I'm going to snuggle and sneak a kiss in Spaceship Earth with my hubby and have it just be us two in the 'vehicle'. We'll let the kids ride with our friends. Now I can't wait because I have something new to try at Disney :lovestruc

I freakin LOVE 50's PTC. If you have a good server, it makes for THE BEST experience. And it sure sounds like Tim is one of the great ones.

Did y'all not cozy up in the 'living room'? What bench did you sit on while waiting? :confused3

I never mind the wait at 50's (and there ALWAYS is a wait even with an ADR) because we always get a drink at the bar and have a seat in the cozy living room :cloud9: Dad's Electric Lemonade is sooooo delicious!! And it glows :cutie:

Now back to the meal...you were lucky that Tim substituted your greens for carrots. In 08 our server substitued for DH. Last year, our server (Janet) wouldn't change out the veggie for my DH. BUT...I was thrilled because I KNEW he would get in trouble since he HATES green beans.

When Janet wasn't looking, he went to put his greens ONTO ANOTHER TABLE that hadn't yet been cleared b/c the people just left. Well, the server from that table caught him in the act!!! He made DH put his nose to the wall and stay there. Then he told Janet what happened, and she called him out to the room and still made him stay against the wall. She said "did you think that was OKAY? You thought I wouldn't find out didn't you?" :rotfl2:

So anyway....sorry for hijacking a little...but I'm PRETTY SURE that the guy that caught my husband in the act was your TIM! :thumbsup2

I've had some of the best experiences of my Disney trips at 50's PTC and you brought back those memories, so thank you!

Thanks for more great updates! I agree that the backlot tour is kind of blah now. It used to be better when you went past the set houses...I remembet Golden Girls and Brady Bunch being 2 of them. On our last trip, right around the same time you were there, my DH was in the pre-show for the backlot tour...he was the captain. Obviously, I don't reccomend getting on a boat or ship with him unless you want to get very wet.:lmao:

I love the Osborne lights too...it is so beautiful. Definately a must see at least once. I really miss the lights of Winter in EPCOT though...I hope thye bring them back. After experiencing them once in 2007, it seemed so "empty" without them in 2009. Hopefully as the economy picks up, they will decide to bring them back. (sorry for the mini-hijack...can't wait to read more!)

OMG! I so need a Mickey and Cinderella waffle iron. I need to send an e-mail to Disney that they need to offer those again. I have a blue Mickey collander that I love and it makes me so happy to use. Now I need some Disney kitchen appliances.

Lee, since you and Rig are right around the ages of my children I feel the need to mother both of you. I already told you to never sleep on a hotel floor again and now I need to tell Rig to put ice on his eye so the swelling goes down. I also agree I would consider being taken off in the back of a police cruiser and having photos and finger prints as going to jail.

Please keep posting. I need to hear some more good and happy things to offset the bad.
you can order online and still get mickey waffle iron or could....last time I was on there. I had gotten mine at DTD kitchen store over by the christmas shop long time ago also had the mickey and tigrt toasters online also

I just discovered your report and I am on page 5....it's going to be a long night. I can't put it down. Or log off, whatever is appropriate!!!

And you are right, Rachel is a witch!!! We can see how far behind I am...I think 3 eliminations have past.

You can order the waffle irons at the online disneystore.com or on Amazon and The Lakeside Collection. :) You have a choice between Mickey and friends and Princesses.

Hope this helps!:earsboy:

YOOUUUU HOOOOO!!!!!

I need my fix, before it gets to busy at my house.

Aww, poor Rig with his headache! Do you think it was from what Truck did or from Star Wars? Too funny about your quoting SW. Can you believe I haven't see one Star Wars movie?!?
That is hilarious with the girl not liking Rig! How can anyone dislike a cowboy?!
I'm glad you guys liked 50s. I have an ADR there for November.
So what did you think of last night's double eviction. I thought of you and Rig during the cowboy have not competition. Ragan's reaction to the drinks was so funny!

Riglee

This is absolutely the best trip report I have ever read. I have read several and do not usually post, but shame on people who do not believe this is true. If you have a very good memory like I do , you can remember conversations. I know because I do the very same thing. So please keep the story coming.:thumbsup2
