I have taken many of Disney trips in the last few years but I have never writen about the many htings I do on a trip. So here we are time to try my hand at a trip report, wish me luck.
I along with DW and DM flew out on Thursday Nov 8th to the great World. Landed safley and huried to Magical Eprerss to get the Disney vacation started. Once we arived at our home away from home for the week SSR. we got our room and settled in for the beganing of a fun exciting week. We choose to take the walk to DTD and get some lunch at Earl of Sandwitches, had the Holiday sandwitch oh so good. Me and DW upgraded our Ap's to PAP's and we headed to the toy shop to pick up some Mr. Potato Head parts and some random shopping ( common Theme this trip, well all trips). We then headed to our hotel and took off for a great night at MK. A great first day, or half day if you account for us not ariving till 1pm.
Day 2 got to a slow start as we had to wait for my grandparents to arive around 9 and my grandfathers scooter retal around 10. once all was setled we headed to the Race Expo (Me, DW, DM were all running the Wine and Dine half marathon the next day). That was a fun and exciting experiance me and DM had run 2 prevous RunDisney events and by far this was the biggest expo. We got some more shopping done and I was devased to yet again not have a MENS version of the run jacket. And for that matter much mens apperal or even merch.
Well we then left the expo and went to find the grochery store with a qucik stop over to eat luch at a local Panara bread company. Stoped at Publixs after lunch and completed the need food shopping, made a qucik stop back at Panara to get bagals for the AM. At 6pm me and DGpa went to a drink seminar at food and Wine and met the ladies after to spend the night at Epcot.
Day 3 was supose to be a laxed day well not so much. Festival of the MAster and Cinderella castle lunch then back for some rest before race time at 10pm. Me, DW, DM all started the race strong around mile 4 my knees was not doing so well and I had to slow down. Around Mile 8 me and DW got in to a litle tif and she took off to finish the race with out me. We all met up around mile 11-12 and finished the race running the last hundred feet or so together, not a great time but I dont care i finished and earned my coast to coast for 2012. Hung around the outside of Epcot and choose to head back to bed instead of attending the after party. Got back and went to bed after a 20min soak in the jet tub.
Day 4 - well it was a little soarness after only about 6 hours of sleep but all is well and with some drugs on board and a knee brace we tackled the day head on. Ak and MK Plus more shopping. And finished at HS for the Osborn Lights display.
Day 5 was a litle running around and dinner at Two Italia at Epcot
Day 6 tuesday Breakfast at O'Hana and a little resort sightseeing and lunch at brown derby. finished off the day at HS and DM and Dgp headed to the show at Cirtis Sol La. Me and DW headed to ToTW for the night and finished at MK.
Day 7 - grandparernt got ready to leave the scooter was picked up and we headed to Breakfast at Ihop. After breakfast we headed to the outlet mall for some shopping at the Disney outlet store and back to the resort to pack the truck so my grandparent could leave. once the good byes were said me, DW, DM headed to DTD for luch and finish all the shopping we had to do and back to the resort to start packing. Headed to ToTW for some great drinks and fun and finished the night with the Electric Boat pagent from GF and shopping and then a last push at MK before the mourning flight home.
Day 8 headed home flew out at 9am, DM forgot her diamond earings at resort (they recovered one) and we had a good flight home. Me and DW tried to destress and wind down but hte puppy was not having it and the fact she escaped her kennel for the second day in a row we were not haveing a good home comming. Went to Menards to fix the blinds the dog destroyed and ordered pitzza. On the way back from getting the pitzza DW called asking were I was and informing me there was a BAt ot Bird in my DM basement and her dad was on the way to take care of it. Well it was a bat and while on the phone with my Wife the bat flew up in to the living room and was tourchering the cats. It was quit the home comming for all of us.
\Now it is time to relax and whind down before Thanksgiving next week. Hope to get some time this week to edit PhotoPass pictures and get them ordered so everyone can have a disk before Christmas.
This completes my first Trip report
Now I know I most likely forgot some detail and there were a few negative time dealing with some not so Disney CM's but all in all it was a great week and the best food I have ever eaten at Disney. I got to experiance some stuff I would never been able to do with out the people I had with me. This was a great "family" vacation and I hope to pass the fun we had to my children and future generations.
