Ok, spare me, since it is the first time for me to make a trip report in English, hopefully you can read through the mistakes I make. ;)

Let me start by introducing my family:
Me - Sandra
Husband - Marco
Our son - Michael (almost 8, he says to everybody, his birthday is 9 March ;). By the way, he is named after 2 Michaels. My husband is a huge Ferrari and Formula 1 fan, so he came with Michael Schumacher. I was crazy about the tv show La Femme Nikita, and especially about... ::yes::, Roy Dupuis, a.k.a. Michael )

DH and I went to Florida in 1995 and 1998 so it was really time we would go back again. ;)
In 1995 we did Disneyworld in 11 days, stayed in All Star Sports. We also made one trip outside the World to see Sea World, and we did some shopping.
When we were there, we had no idea the news in The netherlands was telling there was a hurricane in Florida. Not specific where, so our family and friends were concerned about us. (these were the days where not so many people had internet to inform them :rotfl: ) We already knew the hurricane was not near us, but didn't realise that message didn't came through to the Netherlands. Well, next day we went home, and called because our plane was delayed, they were glad to hear from us.
We had a great time in Disneyworld, and promised each other we would come back to Florida.

In 1998 we did go back, although this time we made a roundtrip. We started in Orlando, but stayed offsite this time. We went to Magic Kingdom and the Universal Studios, left Orlando, thinking we would come back at the end of our trip to go home, but that went a little different....
We stayed one night in Cocoa Beach, and visited Kennedy Space Center.
After that we went to Pompano Beach, stayed for 2 nights, and then it was time for the Keys....
Well, we made it to Key West, and were lucky enough the hotel would accept us for one night, since they were starting to evacuate the tourists for hurricane George. Strange way to experience Key West at that day, people were making preparations to survive the hurricane. And I never thought about it, but now I can say it is really silent before the storm comes.
The next day we had to leave the Keys and our travelcompany told us to go to Miami. We stayed there for 2 nights, the people of the hotel were very helpfull, but the people of our travelcompany were not... It was our intention to go to Fort Myers after we had done the Keys, but that was because of the hurricane not an option. I don't know if it was true, but we heard rumours there was a chance they had to evacuate a part of Miami also, so we thought it was better to leave there now, then to be in a traffic jam the next day or so. So we went again to Orlando, stayed there the rest of our time, and still had a great time.

In 2000 Michael was born, and the next year we spent our holidays in Europe.
We went several times to Disneyland Paris, and although that park is great, you can not compare it with Disneyworld.
We really wanted to go to Disneyworld again with Michael, so he can see what a great place it is. Ofcourse we also still want to see Fort Myers and more from the Keys. Last year we decided to make this trip, and save money for it. We heard Michael had holidays for 2 weeks at the end of April, and that sounded much better then to go in July or August, because of the weather, and a little more chance to get a hurricane again. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

And now we are counting the days, we leave 26 April to go to Miami, and will go back to The Netherlands at 10 May. :cool1:

In my next message I will post our itinerary!

Sandra

Here is our itinerary for our upcoming trip:

26 April: From Amsterdam to Miami.
27 April: From Miami to Key West
28 April: Key West, probably a trolley tour and ofcourse the sunset at Mallory Square.
29 April: Key West, we will see what to do.
30 April: From Key West to Fort Myers Beach. ( probably a stop to do an airboat tour)
1 May: Fort Myers, some relaxing at the beach and some shopping.
2 May: Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva Island probably.
3 May: the interesting part for you guys  , from Fort Myers to Disneyworld!

I don't know if I'm going to write about the first part of our holiday, since this is a Disney board, but I will see. :goodvibes

We have a reservation for Pop, for what I have seen it looks great. Maybe if there is a discount code, we will upgrade to a moderate, but I guess not.

Here our plans for Disneyworld so far, it still can change:
3 May: arriving at Pop, in the evening we have an ADR for Chef Mickeys.
We are not sure if we are going to a park that day, maybe we do some swimming and DTD.

4 May: Animal Kingdom. (Looking forward to Expedition Everest, my son is still thinking about it if he will like it  )

5 May: Breakfast at Cape May and after that to Epcot.
We are huge Chip and Dale fans, so we had to do a dinner or breakfast with them. :cheer2:

6 May: My son will choose this day, it will probably be Kennedy Space Center or a water park. At this moment he is really into space, so he says it must be KSC. But I know my son, he changes his mind often... ;) ( is this with all the children???? )

7 May: Magic Kingdom.

8 May: Hollywood Studios.

9 May: Maybe some shopping, swimming etc. in the morning and afternoon, and then at 4 to the Princess and Pirates party!! pirate:
I just loved it when I heard about it, and was really hoping we could attend one. And luckily we can! :woohoo:

Great start Sandra!

I hope you'll have a great trip and some great weather especially, because we're there at the same time :lmao:

We're also sharing a photopass, so I guess I'll see your pictures anyway! :rotfl:

We were lucky it was not so busy, so we could take a picture with all the characters at the entrance. :) (2007)

More pics to come!

I didn't see him before in this suit, it was at the entrance of the MGM Studios when we met these characters. Or are you talking about his hand? He has one ear in his hand. We used this picture last year for the birthdaycake of Michael. He has his birthday soon, so we have to see what we'll be doing this year. ;)

Nice pictures! :thumbsup2

Hmm... those tickets for the P&PP are exactly the same as the regular Disney tickets... I thought they would do something different for them... too bad! :confused3

I'm happy, we booked our trip with Dreams Unlimited Travel, and Tracy was able to aply the discount wich came out today.
We had a park hopper for 7 days, now we get around 144 dollar back, and get the water park fun also included :cool1:
We were planning maybe to visit Kennedy Space Center, but my son thought it was a great idea to visit the waterparks instead of KSC. We will keep KSC for a next time I guess. ;)
This weekend I will place some more Disneyland Paris pictures, they are from New Years Eve this ( or is it last? ;) ) year.

As promised here some more Disneyland Paris pictures.
Friends of ours had their 12,5 year anniversery, and they both turned 40. They didn't want to throw a big celebration party, so they asked their closest family and friends to come with them on a trip. Months before we knew we would leave from December 29th untill January 1, but we didn't know where we were going. We expected a large house somewhere in the woods in Germany or Belgium, but that was not what it turned out to be....
Everybody came that morning to them, and we expected that we had to drive, but there was a bus waiting for us. Our friends told us that morning the bus was going to bring us to Paris, and that we would celebrate New Years Eve in Disneyland Paris. We really thought they were crazy, this really costed a lot, but we had a very wonderful time. Now here some pictures from Paris and ofcourse Disney:

Will you be wearing costumes? I'll just look for that cute little blonde boy ha! ha!
We will be wearing costumes, as you seen on my pre-trip report...
We might go eat at Cosmis Ray for diner... I'm not quite sure of our dining plans for that night.
And I'll have my backpack with my Lime green Mickeys on it...
Hope to see you there... would be cool.

Well, my men are not really into costumes, so I think that will be an impossible task. :rotfl: But I am going to look for some shirts with a pirate, maybe they will wear them. ;) If I have something, I will place it here.
I hope to see you there too, would be great. :)
I'm going back to bed now, a little bit ill at this moment, hopefully it is better tomorrow.
