My first trip report August 2009 now completed!

aw who are ye telling dawnydoo , we either laughed or cried our way through each day and i've done pretty much the same writing this report!

ok i am not reading any more of your trs they are just too emotional lol.

i am so glad you got to meet ariel. i know what its like when there is just that one special person you want to meet. ash is 3 and she wants to meet whoevers dress she is in that day. doesnt always happen and she gets a bit dissapointed but when it does happen its magic.

I knew it was a bad idea to read this at work...!!!! Fortunately I have a box of tissues next to me! So pleased that you got to meet Ariel - it really makes the holiday so special doesn't it?!!

I have just read your trip report & loved it. You have a great memory to remember everything so well from last August! I really admire the stamina of all the kids - I don't know how they kept going for so long each day in the heat - they last longer than mine do! I too was a bit teary (happy tears) when Janice got to meet Ariel. I hope you have another great trip when you go again in May. I'll be there the same time as you - if we ever get there with all this volcano ash!

And I've just realised - I was there the same time as you last August too. We went 18th & 19th! And yes, it was very hot. I didn't get to see Fantillusion or the fireworks at all - my 7 yr old dd just wanted to go to bed each night, so we were back in our hotel for about 9pm! Hopefully we'll have good weather in a few weeks time, but just not as hot. Us Irish aren't used to it & then we can't handle it.

That was just lovely - the first trip is so bewildering and overwhelming, you all did well staying up for the fireworks each night. Well done

So glad Janice got to meet Ariel, and everyone looked like they had a wonderful time.

Yes I agree - thank you so much for sharing about your first trip. It was wonderful reading about it and I was hoping Janice would meet her princess. I was so relieved when she did. You sound as though you all had an amazing time and that Janice was really treated like a Princess herself.

karen that's gas! what a coincidence that our dates match twice, it's magic the heat was unbearable wasn't it! but i think we were all just so completely mesmerised we stopped noticing the heat pretty quickly! Your dd is younger than our youngest so would prob get tired much quicker. bless her

hopefully this rotten ash cloud will shift and we'll be there together again

Right anyone that knows me on here knows I'm a right softy!..but omg I have never cried like like i did reading your report...I had to stop at the bit about your son and his tooth and tinkerbell etc...then i made a coffee...composed myself and started reading the rest...got to the Ariel bit and I was sobbing! My son was asking whats wrong!..I couldn't speak to him!..I'm away to give my sister the link!...

thats the best report I have read in my life in the way you can feel your excitement in ever paragraph...its oozing happiness!

Wow, what a truely fantastic report and I think it sums up perfectly what Disney is all about. They should use this in their advertising material!!

So pleased that Janice got to meet Ariel and what beautiful photo reminders you have of the moment. My daughter lost her first tooth earlier this year and I loved the story of your son and Tinkerbell, just magical.

i know i was getting really worried there for a bit, especially so when i checked all the ferry companies and none are sailing when we need them to, and eurostar was booked out for our day of travelling too the skies seem to be clear so fingers crossed we both get to go xx

What a fantastic trip report - your excitement and enthusiasm shone through. From your DH's 'send off' at the airport to your DS losing his tooth and overcoming fear of the characters to your DD meeting Ariel at the very end , I have smiled, laughed and cried each point of your trip along with you.

Dare I ask, is thre a trippie for the May 2010 trip? Thanks so much for sharing your experiences.

I did just two days of the may trip and I'm ashamed to say I still haven't finished it I think it's called "somebody give me a name for this trip". I reckon it's a few pages back now, I'm on my phone here so I can't post a link, sorry .

I really must get it finished as were heading over again in 5 weeks, if the striking doesn't get in the way this time!!!
